Chef Annie’s love for cooking started when she moved to the United States in 2012. She thinks about food all day; what it looks like, what it tastes like, and most of all, how it makes people feel connected and content. For Annie, cooking is a passion, a legacy, and a bridge. Cooking is a way for her to feel joy honoring her mother and her first home by serving the people in her new community. That is why Annie and her husband Ryan, a Rochester native, created ThaiPop. It is a labor of love to bring two homes and two worlds together in one place, to honor all who came before by serving all who gather today and tomorrow.

The food was prepared to our liking. From the hostess to our waitress, they were very pleasant. Our waitress was also very attentive. The food was tasty. The only suggestion I have is to have had more veggies in the dish since both my husband and I paid for them.

I had eaten lunch at Thai Pop a few weeks earlier and loved what I ordered. Last night I returned with my husband and our guest, anticipating a wonderful meal. None of us liked the food at all. I had the coconut brisket and thought it was awful. The meat was so fatty that I didn’t enjoy it at all. Neither my husband nor our guest liked Thai food either. The visit was quite disappointing.

We decided to spend my birthday dinner here- the food was so wonderful and the drinks were fun and unique! We had an incredible experience, excellent service, and not enough can be said about the atmosphere! We loved Thai Pop and will recommend it to everyone we can and can't wait to stay in Rochester again so we can come back! The best way to ring in my birthday!

What a great experience-fun flavors/riffs on traditional Thai food really hit the mark and were those cocktails great or what (and they so enhanced the food experience)!? Our server was lovely/attentive and the house staff were impressive. The setting was fantastic. When we are in Rochester again you can bet we won’t miss this gem.

The food we some of the best Thai food we have had. The curry’s were flavorful, the Brussels spouts delicious as was the beef jerky appetizer. The Tongue Thaid cocktail was among the best spicy cocktails I have had.
