We secured a table at Terrazza Bosquet to celebrate a special occasion because of its reputation for outstanding cuisine and impeccable service, but probably above all, for ambience and location. First, I could not fault the food and the menu. We were well aware that this is a tasting-menu-only restaurant and were not unhappy with this at all, indeed the restaurant manager called ahead of time to confirm the table and remind us that it was tasting menu only. We chose the “Sacred” menu and the restaurant kindly made some minor amendments due to a shellfish allergy. Every element of the menu showcased the expertise and dedication of the team in the kitchen. As with other tasting menus, it is a lot of food and it’s as well to be prepared for this, but this should not detract from the brilliance of what is delivered. What did disappoint, however, was the ambience. The weather was not the best that evening and there was some light rain around. Because of this the restaurant decided to serve the meal indoors. This is understandable but the difference in ambience is quite radical. The indoor space is very small indeed and to accommodate all the diners an additional side room was opened in which we and one other couple were seated, just two tables. The space lacked atmosphere and appeared a bland multi-purpose space such that many hotels might have. It had poor acoustics and every quiet word could be heard by staff and other diners. To add to the rather sepulchral feel to the space, the air conditioning was vicious, both noisy and extremely cold. Whilst the staff did respond to a request to adjust the power of the aircon, they turned it on again later in the meal. The restaurant did warn us ahead of time that the meal would be served indoors but failed to make clear what a compromise this would be compared to the terrace. This resulted in a poor overall experience at a cost that should guarantee that every element is perfect whatever the weather.

Wow, what an amazing experience beginning to end. We had a multi course tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was unique, presentation was outstanding and absolutely delicious! I can’t say enough about the quality of service, in particular the assistant sommelier was knowledgeable and engaging. I’m not sure of the position he held but there was a man (I believe his name Giano?) who was perhaps a manager who checked in with us throughout the experience. He was fabulous! This was an expensive meal but worth every cent as it was truly a very special experience.

One of the best dining experiences ever! The staff was very nice and courteous, and the food was amazing! Would recommend to anyone looking for a once in a lifetime dining experience

We had the Profane which was a great experience and food was delicious. The view was beautiful but hadn’t realised the terrace wasn’t open for dinner this time of year - would have liked to have been informed as was a request at booking. Unfortunately the experience was also slightly marred by mismanagement of allergies which caused my partner some anxiety where he couldn’t enjoy the meal - disappointing for a Michelin star restaurant especially as flagged in advance. Would recommend but would advise restaurant to review their approach to allergies.

Absolutely wonderful food and service. We went for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. For a tasting menu, which can sometimes leave you still hungry, we were beyond full and satisfied! Every bite was delightful and we are already hoping to go back some day. A must for anyone staying in Sorrento!
