Staff very friendly. Food yum. Pity the batch of porterhouse steaks our table ordered were tough and very hard to cut through and chew - no one managed to eat their whole porterhouse. Other than that, an excellent meal

The evening was value for the cost and a great location. Quiet, good food and perfect for an occasion. Only marred by the extra long wait between entree and main, one hour, and the need to chase staff for another drink. When will restaurants understand that most clients don’t like having to chase for drink service ?

My wife enjoyed her choices but some of mine were not as good. The Entree of Lamb Cutlets were to underdone and and parts could not be cut and eaten. The mains of eye fillet steak was good but the beans the only vegetable on the plate were uncooked. The sweets were the best part of the meal. We have been to the Valentines event before but this one eas not as good.

Could not fault our meal or the staff. Lovely views and atmosphere and the meal was perfect! Good portions and great value for the money. Would highly recommend, we will be back!

A very relaxed evening enhanced by excellent service from Nick and his team. An enticing menu with beautifully prepared food. A very extensive drinks list too.

Service let us down last night. Despite only 5 tables occupied and 4 staff working service was terrible. Took ages to take our drink order, finished starter plates sat at the table for a long time before being cleared and after 20 minutes after main course was finished I had to go to the staff desk to ask them to clean away. Waiting staff were more interested in talking to each other than providing any service despite a quiet night. Not once were we asked if we enjoyed the meal. Definitely the standard we have previously experienced.

This is one of the best meals we have had in a long while. Food was excellent, well prepared using unique blends of flavours and spices. We shared two starters and then we each had the same main. Everything was well-prepared and well-presented and potions were good. Wine was excellent. Service was prompt, efficient, and friendly Time to prepare and serve was great too as we has show to attend. Highly recommended.

Dining was a lovely experience. We had a beautiful view from our window seats and could watch the light on the mountains as the sunset. The atmosphere was very peaceful. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. I always appreciate that you get a couple of extras like the warm fresh bread with butter and a complimentary serve of sides with your main. We had a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend.

The food was absolutely sensational, we had the steak, duck and lamb lasagna for our meals and they were absolutely to die for. The staff were friendly and most efficient. We would definitely recommend that its worth the visit and if we are ever back here at the country club would definitely eat here again

Having stayed there at the Casino a few times, we eat at The Terrace, my wife nad myself both had the porterhouse steak ,medium to well done, and both steaks were a both chewy. Not a 10 out of 10 but still enjoyable.

Very average dining experience: 40+ minute wait for meals after ordering, food was not hot, meals not served simultaneously (so some people had to wait as food got cold for others to be served), cutlery not cleared, long delays waiting for service at the end of the meal.

We ate here a few years ago and loved it but I was apprehensive reading more recent reviews. The food was great but the scallops were so small, there should have been 2 or 3 on each shell. Also paying $58 for a steak, I think the side dish should be more than one piece of pumpkin. That said, the food was beautifully cooked and well presented. The service could do with a bit of work, it wasn't bad but a bit of a long wait to give drink and meal orders. Also when we booked online the form asked if we were celebrating a special occasion- we were, our 10th wedding anniversary- but this didn't get any acknowledgement. Overall, good food although serving sizes or prices need review, service has room for improvement .

Beautiful meal, thank you. Service did forget a sauce that was ordered. Noise level, our table of 6 was quite close to a table of 4 when there was ample room to be more spread out. Music was great. VB beer unavailable. This is the second time we have dined there, the first time was our best experience. We loved the food both times and it is a beautiful place to dine. Just giving really honest feedback...not complaining at all :)

Not fine dining, more like a pub dining room. Food average. One steak grisly and tough, seafood overcooked and bland, tempura mushrooms tough and hard, batter too thick and overcooked. Decor tired, lacks silver service quality in appointments. Overall disappointing for the supposedly best restaurant/food the place can offer. Hence price exorbitant. Service the highlight, lovely friendly staff.

A third visit to the restaurant and it never disappoints. The service friendly and efficient, food spectacular where everything has a purpose on the plate, flavour combinations to satisfy any taste. A widely for all budgets will not disappoint.

Waited an hour for meals then only to have wifes meal come out cold ! Very disappointed the young lady serving us was very apologetic but that doesn’t make cold steak any better !

Absolutely amazing meals, the pork and chicken mains were 5-star delicious, the desserts delectable and the wine list extensive. Service was very friendly and timely; meals were presented in quick order. The restaurant was respectfully quiet and the views over the golf course were great at twilight. Highly recommended.

Great to see The Terrace back to providing a more sophisticated dining experience. Friendly and relaxed service. An interesting and enticing menu. The beverage offering is quite outstanding and certainly covers the local Tasmania market extremely well. Looking forward to returning and placing The Terrace amongst my Launceston favourites now.

The meals and the service have always been spot on, but was a bit surprised about having to pay for a second side. I also wish the oysters were as awesome as our first few trips. They are not as chunky now, but that may be due to the season
