Executive Chef Augusto Caudillo brings a wealth of culinary expertise and local knowledge to the heart of Santa Barbara. Graduating from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, he honed his skills in various kitchens, including Fess Parker Wine Country Inn and Lucky’s Steakhouse. Caudillo's passion for food began at a young age, growing amid a large family where meals were a cornerstone of connection and memory-making. Drawing inspiration from both Californian and Mediterranean traditions, Caudillo's dishes offer a tantalizing blend of aesthetics and nutrition — a testament to his love of crafting memorable experiences.

We were there for the Mother’s Day brunch, which was a disappointment… much of the food was cold, or lukewarm at best, and they were slow to replenish… the ambience was nice and I’d imagine for a regular meal it would be quite nice. However, we would not do the buffet brunch again

Total bait and switch. The description of the Mother's Day buffet did not match the poor quality of food and lack of food available. Complete lack of truth in advertising. I will be asking corporate Marriott to investigate this and asking for a refund. It is not ok to flat out lie and deceive people. Lack of food as represented, incredibly poor quality, lack of plates and lots and a total disappointment without any empathy for the patrons. Charging $45 for children and having zero children items is NOT ok. Not even a variety of juices or chocolate milk or basics for kids. They advertised a waffle and pancake bar - it was 2-3 disgusting pancakes (they were running out) and they ran out of waffles and substituted boxed pasta for it. Zero toppings as well. Even the bagels - when asked to toast them - we were met with disdain. On top of it the staff was incredibly rude and disrespectful.

We showed up for Mother’s Day brunch buffet to take my mom and grandma out. When we got there, there was ultimately no food. They ran out of plates too. They had coffee in a separate room that we had to get, and they also ran out of cream and coffee that we had to wait to get refilled. No one got us water and we had to ask for someone to serve us. When they finally brought more food out, they would only bring 3 yogurt parfaits and 6 mini Benedict’s out at a time when there was a line of around 15 people. I’m not one to write negative reviews but this was embarrassing and such a waste of money. My mom was tearing up when we got back home. I hope this restaurant figures it out because for a third of the price we could’ve gone to a nice restaurant that actually served us.

It was atrocious, a total nightmare. I wish zero stars were an option, but it's not. My party arrived on time for a dinner in honor of a candidate for a faculty position at a prestigious local university. It look half an hour to get water for the table (with no refills) and forty-five minutes for the person who initially introduced themselves as our waiter to return to the table. (Why didn't we leave earlier? It wasn't the usual dinner-with-friends--we were professors hosting a job candidate and wanted to believe the situation would improve.) The waiter then said that the only fish option on the menu was not available; we would have left within five minutes if we had been told this from the start, since the person being hosted only eats fish. What raises this above the usual "bad service" situation was the lack of consideration for our time, lack of professionalism, and lack of respect. I won't return, even if dragged by wild horses and "comped" for the appetizers and drink that never came.

This place doesn’t seem to have enough help or didn’t the Friday night we were there. We were seated per our reservations then proceeded to wait at least 20 minutes for a drink. We finally got the drinks right before we finished our appetizer. The service was all downhill from there. First and last visit.

Wonderful new dining experience that I’ve been excited to try in Santa Barbara. We came on a special food and wine pairing night so it was a real treat. The restaurant is beautiful and it truly felt like we escaped from the busy downtown area and into a peaceful retreat. We had delicious crab cakes, burrata and raviolis to go with our hand selected wine. Every dish was amazing and I am excited to plan my next trip back! This is such a nice new spot, especially for us locals who are looking for something new outside of downtown.

Went in for the wine makers dinner with Fennel Winery. Terra’s staff was amazing and the food just as good. We’ve been here before and it does not disappoint . We will be back thank you for the great service.

Loved the food and the ambiance. The service was very slow. I think they were understaffed when we were there. It took about 1.5hrs. for dinner (which was fine as we enjoyed each others company, but the wait for the food and asking for more drinks was noticable). The food and especially the Tiramisu is calling me back.

The resort was overwhelmingly under-staffed, especially at the restaurants, one person is working the breakfast area and the restaurant was full. our room was not cleaned, we were with a group of friends, and some rooms got cleaned and some didn't. the customer service at the front desk was poor too.
