You’re paying for the experience if that. The food was not good at all and not worth the price. The noise was so loud you couldn’t even hear the people in front of you without shouting. The service took too long and it was clearly too busy for them to tend properly to each table.

Horrible they gave me old chips ask them for new chips the brought the same ones back and said they wasn’t old and still charged me for it and they we out of red snapper and the steak wasn’t seasoned this was my favorite restaurant now I will never come back

Reservation was for a Wednesday at 5:30, complimentary valet so we didn’t have to search for parking. We were a group of 4 and it was everyone first time and I’ve heard good things about this place. Of course empty at this time as people are still getting out of work but quickly filled up. Food was delicious and drinks were great. Service was the worst we’ve ever experienced. As we first sat down she greeted us and poured water, 20/25mins she comes back to take order. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and our dinner. Drinks take about 10mins. Another 20mins she passes us by and I grab her attention to ask for an update on our appetizer. Point blank goes “oh yeah sorry I forgot”. Goes and brings it back which clearly means it was just sitting there, not even 10mins later our dinner arrives and we see our waiter twice after. Once she refilled our water, asked us how’s the food and if we wanted to order a desert which we did as we were there to celebrate 2 birthdays. The second time was to wave her over again to ask for the check. We were there for 2hrs. Never once asked if wants more margs as that’s what my coworkers (one of the bday ppl) were waiting and wanting to do and only came around the one time to fill our water cups. I felt bad cause we go out for bdays and this was a place I’ve been waiting to try and it failed miserably on the service. I am all for letting the ppl eat, enjoy the vibes but I don’t like being a forgotten table and having to get your attention when you pass by awkwardly raising/waving a hand like hi when you get a chance please don’t run away.

I bought $75 dollars tickets for Milagro Night on May 1st. The advertisement story on instagram said there was going to be a DJ and it was a salsa night. The food was good but there was no DJ and no salsa music at all. Only regueton was played. The only reason me and my boyfriend went to this event was so that we could dance salsa. I feel very disappointed that this restaurant lies about their events and what they really offer.

My boyfriend and I went for Thursday night date night special the atmosphere is beautiful and the service was good we had to wait a while for drinks and desert and to close out but our server was really nice the food was tasty and filling I just wish there was less fat on the meat both of our steaks were 50% fat and the lamb chops had a lot of fat on them as well. I got the skull desert for the show mainly lol it’s supper chocolaty and I’m not the biggest fan of chocolate so it was a bit much for me but if you love chocolate get it I’d give the overall experience a 9 just because the meat was super fatty and we waiting for a while trying to leave although it looked like our server was really busy and I understand that I definitely say it’s worth trying at least once idk that I’d go back.

We had the sampler of three ceviches, grilled octopus and elote corn which were outstanding and pulled chicken arepas that were good but nothing special. We sat in a beautiful open air central courtyard listening to loud but not intrusive music. The waitstaff was friendly and we didn’t feel rushed. Would definitely recommend and would return if in Dallas!

The restaurant was too dark for my party of four to see the menu and feel comfortable walking through. I was mistakenly directed upstairs.

We had a group of 7 and our service was minimal and our server was not very attentive or friendly. An 18% gratuity was included so that maybe why our server didn’t feel the need to give us better service.

Lighting was an issue. Too dark. Seated right away which was awesome but then we waited a bit for our server to come. After the meal was served the server check ins were almost non- existent. She was great in the few that she did but we were just sitting un-attended for desert we decide to skip since it took too long to get noticed and by that time we just wanted to go home.

My husband and i went for an anniversary dinner on their Thursday date night. The portions of beans and rice were small but the lamb ribs, chicken and steak were well seasoned. Every bite was delicious, the drinks however were soso. The roof was leaking and the restaurant was a bit chilly, the host was dry and uninviting and the women’s restroom was dark and creepy. I put that it was our anniversary on the reservation but no acknowledgment was made by any of the staff. Overall it was an ok experience with tasty food.

The experience at Te Deseo was amazing. I enjoyed the food , low lights and music. The only thing that was dissatisfying about the experience was how small the tables were for a single pair . It felt as if our food would fall off the table along with the burning candle. And when it started to fill up in the middle of the restaurant there was little space to get by to leave / enter the dining room floor. Those two were my only issues again , good experience just wish I felt more comfortable to eat / move .

I finally decided to give this establishment another chance and take my partner there for valentine's day. There was a preset 3 course menu with a few selections for the first course , second course , and dessert. Upon entering the restaurant it seems the hostess table was in a frequent rush which is understandable due to it being busy. We were immediately seated in an area outside the main area which seems like it missed the ambiance of the night. Our server was amazing and very attentive he even escorted me to the restaurant to show me the way. The food was very very subpar and simply bland. For it to be $85 per person I expected more. Somethings were room temperature and not served hot and somethings just seemed rushed as if I were at an all inclusive resort buffet. The drinks were definitely the star of the night. The pours were generous and the drinks were refreshing. Whoever the bartender was for the night I could definitely tell they knew what they were doing. Ambiance 3/5 Food 2/5 Service 5/5 Drinks 5/5

First time and will definitely go back. Food and service were excellent. Might have been our table but you need your phone light to read the menu and see your food.

The restaurant was wayyyyy too dark. I had to use my phone flashlight while in the bathroom. It took 25 minutes to seat me even though I was 20 minutes early. They completely ignored my reservation notes and we spent at least 20-30 minutes waiting on our waiter in between each visit.

Okay, so the food was fantastic. The service was good as well. BUT! And it's a HUGE BUT! 1. Never, EVER let influencers sit in the main dining area and use a damn spotlight to take pictures and videos.....over and over and over. The damn light being used was not a phone but a handheld light. It was rude and obnoxious and made the night not so enjoyable because the light was very bright in a very cozy, dark room. It shined right in our eyes. Put them in some back room with no people, for God's sake. 2. You never ever try to slip a different drink by someone because you ran out of a specific tequila. I let the waiter know I got someone else's drink, but when he came back, he let me know that they ran out of the Jalapeño tequila, so they just brought me a regular one. Like I would not notice? Why would you not tell me? He blamed it on the bartender. He ended up bringing me another drink with fresh Jalapenos, which sadly was too hot to drink, although it was very tasty. Two huge no-no's.

We celebrated our engagement proposal and dinner with family and friends, and the staff and management team helped make out night one to never forget. They were incredibly attentive, patient, and accommodating! We chose Te Deseo because we had our first date there in May 2023 and wanted to return for our engagement for the ambiance, to duplicate photos, and for the food. Upon arrival, things were good. We were quickly greeted and sat but after putting in our food order it went down hill from there. We saw the gentleman that was refilling water a lot more than we saw our waitress. She seemed a lot more focused on another table. We asked for napkins and got cocktail napkins, I guess I should have asked for linens. Dessert was brought out, extra utensils but no plates to share. (And again, no sign of our waitress to ask for them)Food was not anything to rave about. I give presentation a 10 but flavor was a 5. Ambience was good, nice decor and lighting. That’s all to be impressed with. I was really looking forward to a good experience as we aren’t downtown very often. Sadly, I don’t think we will be repeat customers.

Had a girls night out here and it was awesome!!! We had reservations but had a wait, they made up for it by giving us a round of shots! So that was nice. The food and service were on point. Definitely plan on going back!

The ambiance at Te Deseo is way too dark to enjoy your meal and leaves guests with nothing interesting or inviting. The atmosphere reminded me of a cheap spooky house. The food is wildly overpriced relative to the experience. Te Deseo failed to impress with its lackluster flavors and uninspired dishes. The supposed authenticity fell flat, leaving a taste that was far from the vibrant and bold experience one expects from Latin cuisine. The service was slow despite only 5 tables being occupied. I’ll never return despite the tasty tortillas.
