We made reservations here specifically for the Mother's Day Brunch Buffet. The buffet was good. Nothing overly impressive but a good variety. We ate everything we dished up (which doesn't always happen at buffets). Little disappointed that they ran out of the Peach Bellinis (it was that or Mimosas on the boozy brunch menu) so I passed on cocktails.

We loved our dinner here. The blue cheese brussel sprouts were plentiful with a proper tang and cooked just right. While they could have given you more chicken, what they did present was fried to perfection with a sweet-heat drizzle that was sumptuous! And the potatoes au gratin were a wonderful finish with a creaminess that is unsurpassed!

First time trying a new place. With a reservation, we were seated quickly, but - 30 mins to get a drink, told server we had a hard stop for an event - didn’t matter. Food started arriving 50 mins after seated, and they forgot our salad. Had to eat quickly and leave. They are lucky we left 10%, we will not be back. There is no excuse.

Food was very good. It took a long time to get a drink in front of us, 15/20 min from sitting. Food came out promptly. We sat with dirty plate in front of us for 10 min or so with empty drink glasses. We starting to tall about getting another drink somewhere else. I think our server heard us and asked, if we would like another beverages. All in al, l I would go back and give a second chance. Service in restaurants is why I go out. I can do good food and make great beverages much cheaper myself at home.

We went to Taylor Street Tavern for Sunday brunch. It was not very busy there and the service was great. The food was typical for brunch, just fine. Big portions, nothing special, but crab cakes were very spicy. The dining area is nice and well decorated. It is located in the hotel, which is convenient for the hotel customers. The menus for regular lunch and dinner look more interesting than for weekend brunch.

All well prepared. We were a party of 8 meeting prior to a concert. We were pleased overall either the quality and convenience of this location. The steak was bit chewy but the bread pudding and canolli were amazing, not overly sweet.

Loved the Steelhead trout. Also had smoked salmon appetizer and deviled eggs. They were very good too! Welcoming and friendly waitstaff. Will go back for sure.

Unfortunately we chose to have a quick bite before a performance at the Schnitzer, and even with a reservation we had to wait for our table. Service was quite slow, second rounds of drinks came right before we needed to leave for the show. Items asked for during dinner never came. The restaurant was crowded with those going to the performance was it was very noisy, and was definitely understaffed for a pre-show crush. The meals were OK - timing in the kitchen was off as the one person who ordered the evening special had to wait for their meal while the others of us watched our food get cold. Burgers not cooked as promised - medium rare - but rather were well done. All in all not a great evening - and won't be back.

The food was good and the place was busy due to the concert that was about to start nearby. The waitress was great! Some other patrons were rude and she handled it adeptly. I would eat here again.

Went for dinner before a show at the Schnitzer. There were many diners at once and they handled it all very well. Staff were friendly and organized and food was very good. Our usual go to spot is Higgins which is high bar to meet but we would definitely go to Taylor Street Tavern again. Thanks!

First time here and not the last. Our reserved table was ready when we walked in, our server was fun and gracious and more than competent, the food was terrific.

First time since it became Taylor Street Tavern. The food was outstanding but will have to allow more time next time we eat here. We will eat here again and again. I had the Ahi and my husband had the Salmon. We also had squid for an appetizer. All of which was cooked to perfection.

Food is good and quiet enough to chat. Staff was friendly, but super slow. We sat at 5:50 and got our food at 6:50. We had to eat fast so we would not miss our show.

Had a nice little before-symphony nosh with a bottle of wine. Crab cakes were really good. We like the brussel sprouts too. Nice table on the window and a delightful waitress. Perfect start to our evening out.

The service was friendly but very, very slow- it took 1.5 hours to get our food, and though we were only 4 people, it didn’t come out at the same time. Our steelhead was perfectly cooked and seasoned- delicious- but it wasn’t served with what was listed on the menu (instead of asparagus and au gratin potatoes, we got broccolini and mashed potatoes). They were out of many things on the menu, too. Drinks were creative and outstanding.

Cobb Salad! my co-worker and I both had the Cobb Salad. I would say the entree was good, not great. The ambiance and server were good. There was only 1 staff person/server working the room but she handled it great.

Taylor Street Tavern will never see us again, as they closed and locked their doors on Tuesday, hours before our reservation . This had to do with bad weather - understandable, but they made no attempt to notify us. We were staying in the Paramount, thought we were all set for dinner downstairs. My husband risked his life walking to Mucca for pizza where he was treated with outstanding good grace.

We had reservations for 5:45 so we could get to the Schnitz for the Amy Poehler and Tina Fey show downtown Friday night. It was half full and starting to get busy. We were seated and had attention right away. Our drinks took a bit, so when we ordered we told the waitress we needed to be out by 7:00 - ish to walk to the 7:30 show. She looked concerned and said she would do her best. Long story short, we were served our salad and entrée at the same time about 50 minutes after we arrived. I like eating my salad with my meal so no problem, except for the wait. I ordered the trout, which was perfectly cooked. The broccolini was al dente, very nicely cooked. My potatoes were delicious, but cold. My husband's pasta was delicious, but barely warm. This is a hopping place, nicely located with decent food. They just need to get their act together.

My husband and I had dinner here on New Years Eve. They had a 4-course fixed price menu that looked so good! You chose one dish per course, lots of choices, and $65- very reasonable. Our crab cakes were pretty good, salads were fresh and tasty, but our main entrees- NY steaks- were undercooked and room temp (we ordered medium and medium rare, but they were both dark red inside), mashed potatoes were lukewarm, and carrots were still crunchy. We’re not usually ones to complain, but we sent the entrees back for more cooking/ heating. They were definitely better but still not great. The desserts- tiramisu and cheesecake- were delicious! Our server was friendly and apologetic, but also disappeared for long periods; maybe they’re understaffed? Overall, it was a bit disappointing.

New Year’s Eve dinner having their Prix Fixe menu. Took 10+ minutes to even be greeted. Another 15 to be seated. Server took our order. Sat for 15 minutes waiting on drinks. Server shows back up, welcomes us again and asks for our order?? Apologizes and disappears. Still waiting on drinks…….. Everything about this experience was slooooooooooowwww. Salads and appetizers arrived at same time. Each of our salads was missing ingredients. Appetizers were not good. Crab cake was tolerable and beef bruschetta was horrible. Main meal arrived. New York was of poor quality with too much gristle. Cooked fine though. Steak was so bland that I suspect zero seasoning was used, sauce on steak also lacked seasoning. Wild mushroom pasta had the beginnings of good flavor but fell short. Dessert was tiramisu, average to your grocery store. Forgot to mention, got those drinks after salads and appetizers finally delivered. This was a sad experience and management should be ashamed to put forth that level of service and food quality. Beautiful space if it just had a real restaurant it.

We were unaware that the menu was strict to the New year's holiday. That is an expensive requirement. They were all out of beer except one. How can you be out this early on New Year's Eve? We had to wait over 20 minutes for the dessert portion. By this time, we had to get it 'to go'. We arrived at 520p and left at 705p. This is too long for this. And it wasn't that busy. It was out first time here and we probably won't come back.

It was New Year’s Eve. It was busy. It was understaffed. It was a prix fixe menu. So… slow service ( but very pleasant). Had 2 hours for a meal (4 of us) to then have 15 min to walk 2 blocks to the Schnitz. Not enough time. Asked for desserts to go ( car parked close to put in). 15 minutes - had to leave. Came back after shoe and they graciously seated us to have our desserts. So…. Mixed bag. Recommend? I’d try it again on a routine night- so yes, I suppose.

The bartender took excellent care of me, even digging up a bottle of port so I could have a glass with my dessert. Well-executed old-fashioned, and a lovely mascarpone filling in my cannoli. Steelhead entree was just fine, but nothing special.

Very good choice for after movie at the Fox or performances. We had very good smallish items at a reasonable price. Few places like this and Swine for a very good light meal in downtown. We'll go back for a dinner some time soon.

Excellent, friendly service. Four of us shared five shared plates. All were excellent. Left room to share three desserts. Add three cocktails - all for $125. Great value.

We had 5:45 reservations on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but we were seated promptly. It’s not a large space, but it appeared that there were only 2 or maybe 3 servers for a full restaurant. We ordered drinks, which came in a fairly timely fashion. Our orders were taken—we ordered a salad and 2 entrees—the pork roulade and the steelhead. Food took quite a long time to arrive, and the salad arrived after the entrees. If the food had come out quickly, we would have understood the salad’s delay, but that was not the case. There was no explanation or apology for the salad’s late arrival. The steelhead was delicious. The pork was only ok. The meat was dry, as if it had been in the oven too long, but there was SO MUCH FAT! I cut a piece of fat off that was probably 1”x4”. Because the restaurant is fairly dark, I didn’t realize that I was biting into a huge chunk of fat until it was in my mouth—not a pleasant experience. I understand that showing the meat as a roulade (roll) is important to the presentation, but it would have been a better choice to trim some of that huge chunk of fat. The vegetables on the plate were attractive to look at, but the carrots weren’t cooked adequately, and they were very difficult to cut. It was like cutting totally raw carrots. All in all, my meal was disappointing. The service was basically non-existent once the food was delivered. It’s a beautiful space and the menu is interesting. Some improvements could make it a very pleasant dinner venue.

1st time having dinner here & we'll definitely be back. The menu is a great mix of mains, small plates, pizza etc. The steelhead was outstanding. Excellent service on a night when they were packed to capacity.

Our server was amazing and making the best out of what appeared to be an under staffing situation. We had a 9am reservation and were seated quickly but it took a little over 50 minutes to get our food. During our 80 minutes there, I watched 2 tables get up and walk out upset from waiting. It felt like a poorly managed situation. Again our server was very nice and clearly doing the best she could.

After reading previous reviews, I booked the reservation hesitantly, but the location and timing met our needs. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised and very pleased with our visit to TST and we will certainly return. My husband had the spicy fried chicken which though lacking in heavy spice was quite good, cooked well and accompanied by 2 sides of potatoes and Brussels sprouts that won him over as a brussel sprouts denier. I enjoyed the Wagyu beef burger though it could have used more aoili and was a little dry. The fries were perfect and I might appreciate a creative ketchup to dip in. The service was thoughtful and prompt. Overall, a great visit that we will repeat when we stay in the city again.
