Tavi is an Israeli restaurant serving made-to-order pita from a wood-fired oven, elaborately finished hummus plates, and small and large plates drawing from the same modern Israeli inspiration as its sister restaurant, Shaya. The name Tavi is inspired by the Hebrew word meaning “good or beloved” and that’s what Tavi aims to deliver to the Covington community. Executive Chef Fariz Choumali leads the kitchen and brings his Lebanese Roots to life through staples from the Shaya menu plus new dishes. The menu will highlight an array of small plates, hummus, sandwiches, and slow-roasted meats.

The environment was lovely and while I was there, I really enjoyed it. We ate too much and had to take our falafel sandwich to go. The following day, I am heating my sandwich and it hits me - I paid $16 for two small falafels in a pita with hummus...when I asked my coworkers they all agreed. Prices are high considering we know this is technically just street food in a fancy package...

First time but won’t be our last time. Variety of options make for a need to come back to try more menu items. I recommend small plates and hummus and eat family style. Would be great for small or large groups.

First time here - excellent food and service. I highly recommend Fried Chicken Hummus. The lamb kebabs were also good. Staff was pleasant and very attentive. We will definitely be back.

The lanb burger with the slaw was amazing as was the mushroom humus and homemade pita bread!

We enjoyed everything we ordered. Just a clean, comfortable place to sit and eat. We went close to lunch so we have to go back for the dinner menu. Really nice place.

Love!! Service, food, atmosphere all wonderful!!! Rebecca and Zack behind the bar were fantastic . Rebecca had great suggestions and was so kind. The food is fresh and the drinks were great! Fried chicken Hummus is amazing!!! We lived it so much we went back 2 days in a row. Mother’s Day special was smoked salmon on croissant and it was mouthwatering good.

There were things that were very good, and others not so good. First, the restaurant is beautiful, everyone was nice and some food - the hangar steak, hummus, bread, mouusaka was outstanding. Other things were just OK, while others weren't very good. (We got plenty and shared everything.) Biggest problem was the service. She got part of our order wrong, and after my wife told her - she basically said that's what we ordered. While she brought the item we ordered afterward, we were still charged for the original item, as well, and I didn't notice it until after we had left and my wife asked me about it. (Which is my fault for not looking.) Overall, while it was a pleasant experience, it was a bit pricey and the service made it to where we probably wouldn't go back.

Having dined at Shaya in New Orleans I had high expectations. They were met on all counts. 3 course Mezze. Lamb Kabobs. Endless fresh baked pita. Highly recommended!
