Taverna is a restaurant utilizing authentic Italian flavors to create memorable dishes. This restaurant is designed from the ground up to be a neighborhood bistro. Taverna is meant to be the kind of restaurant that guests can bring their family for either a casual meal or to celebrate special occasions. While the inside of the restaurant is cozy, the best place to enjoy the great food is out on the wraparound patio.Taverna is open for lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on the weekends. During lunch and dinner service, guests will find a large variety of menu items available. Pasta, soups, salads and pizza are all popular choices. Taverna is also known for their risotto, as an entire section of the menu is devoted to the "risotteria". The signature risotto topped with a simple blend of parmesan cheese and black truffle cream sauce.

As usual, our food and service at Taverna was perfection. Our waiter was helpful with entree descriptions and suggestions, and so very attentive and friendly. My choice of the branzino was definitely the way to go…perfectly cooked seabass on a bed of vegetables. Yum! My partner, a milanese aficionado, said his was excellent. It was just a wonderful meal that we enjoyed before heading across the street to ACL Moody Theatre. Thanks, Taverna!

Food was very good, but there was no a/c. I dressed up for a nice dinner and sweated while we ate.

We always have a good experience at Taverna. It is our go-to place downtown. The waitstaff is always courteous and knowledgeable.

I came with high hopes to taste their Bobognese sauce. Very blah, in my opinion. Fortunately, I wear hearing aides, so I was able to block out most of the noise in the place. No sound-absorbing surfaces at all.

It was hot, we were perspiring and the poor wait staff looked flushed, but to their credit they were polite and professional! Joey was an excellent server and the other staff were great too. The cocktails and our food were delicious and beautifully presented!

Service was very friendly. The food and drinks were very underwhelming at best. We order dry martinis that had so much vermouth we requested to remake them extra,extra dry. The second ones came back the same as the first martinis. We ended up just leaving them at our table rather than try a third time. The pizzs was just ok. Nothing to write home about.
