Tavern House is the creation of restaurateurs David Wilhelm and Gregg Solomon who have developed numerous Orange County restaurants over the past 25 years, including Kachina, Bistro 201, Barbacoa, Chat Noir, Diva, Sorrento Grille and French 75. The menu reflects a collection of Chef Wilhelm's popular signature seafood and comfort food dishes. A large centrally located bar drives a vibrant night time scene in what is arguably one of the best view locations in Newport Harbor. It also has fireplace lit, 50 seat private room for banquets.

Tavern house is always my first choice whenever I have any special dinner or event. Love all details about this restaurant from the time I arrive till I leave. Food is great, people are soooooo nice and friendly.

Loved our first dining experience there. Perfect for our family birthday celebration. Highly recommend and will definitely go back!

The ambience and the location were perfection!!! The drinks and the food were delicious. We had appetizers both soups and the coconut shrimp. Cobb salad, fries chicken meal and the lobster Benedict. Plus the NY cheesecake with strawberries. The Bloody Mary, Mimosas and the aperol spritz were all great and the presentation was excellent.

Celebrated an early mother's day dinner and had a nice table by windows with a view of the marina. Our server was very attentive and our food was delicious. My wife really enjoyed her "mommy" drinks as well. We will definitely be back.

Very enjoyable evening, great service, food is tasty comfort style. My guest were very happy. Sorry for not 5 staring everything, perhaps I could have but hate seeing that so many times and being disappointed.

Reservations were easy enough. HOWEVER!! The staff was less than professional by literally arguing by our table. When our drinks came, she clumsily spilled my sons drink all over him... I'm talking face, shirt, pants, phone. She did apologize, but no compensation was given or considered for ruining his evening with sticky syrup all over him. Ok, now for the real disappointment. The food was horribly bland and lacked any sense of presentation. The table next to us was upset about something... who knows. For the price, absolutely not worth it.
