Adan did an amazing job. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Also the experience at the Martini bar was fabulous as always. Great evening all around.

Tauro Steakhouse at Fairmont Mayakoba exceeded all expectations! The filet was incredibly tender, and the chocolate cake was simply divine with its perfect layers. The service was impeccable, making it a must-visit for any carnivore enthusiast!

My wife ordered the filet medium rare. They cooked it less than rare. It was still purplish in the middle and it was cold in the center. Since we all had our food, my wife asked if they could just cook it a little longer. That way she wouldn’t be the only one eating. When they brought the sirloin back it was charred on the outside and still rare in the inside. By that point the majority of the family was almost done eating so she didn’t want to send it back. I’m not sure why they would bring out a charred filet. At that point they should have just informed us that cooking it longer was not possible, made a new one, and apologized for the wait.

Everything was fantastic, the ambiance, the hospitality, the drinks! Best food we ate while staying at Mayakoba. I am a vegetarian and usually feel like I’m missing out on good food as most restaurants throw together some oily vegetables. Not Tauro, my appetizer, entree, and drinks were amazing. My boyfriend and I have traveled all over the world (me living in NYC for a decade) and this was the best steak he has ever eaten. Will definitely come back! Patio was gorgeous

We had a fantastic meal. Our waiter, Filipe, was extremely gracious. He gave the impression he only wanted my family to enjoy our experience and he was present with the knowledge to assist us. The dry aged NY strip was perfect medium-rare and the preparation of my wife's trout was one of her "favorite ever". The Casa Madera Merlot (MX) and Louis Latour Chardonnay (FR) by the glass were quite serviceable. Easy recommendation and would visit again!

Ordered flank steak, received strip steak, which was well prepared but cold. Bernaise sauce was cold, gelantinous and as thick as pudfing. It was an expensive, not hood meal.

Not what I would expect for a steakhouse at the Fairmont. The food was not well prepared, from the starters all the way to desert. Our server was very good. Would recommend other restaurants at the resort, this one is a big disappointment.

This is a premium priced steakhouse at the Fairmont in Mayakoba, but it is a step below mediocres steakhouses in North America. I had a 900 MXN striploin that was no more than 1.5 cm thick - it was disappointing. We also had a burger for about 700 MXN that was not great. The burger came with cheese, mayo and soggy bacon. A premium priced burger like this should come with lettuce, pickle, onion and tomato... but not here. The sides (brussel sprouts, asparagus) were really small. The wine being served was about 3.5 x the cost - I generally believe that 2-2.5x should be fair. It was a nice restaurant with a nice ambience, but the food was mediocre and the value is poor. I won't be back.

In my experience, this provides an uneven experience. Beautiful space and great service, but I thought the “classic” ceasar salad was not “classic” at all — no anchovies and presented as basically a wedge salad. My strip steak was okay, but I’ve had better, and I thought my baked Alaska dessert was extremely sweet — almost like additional sugar was added to already sweet ingredients.

La atención de parte de Erick y otros que lo asistían fue correcta. Alimentos y bebidas a tiempo. Los alimentos buenos pero nada extraordinario entonces la relación precio-calidad no es correcta. Deberían ser más exigentes con la vestimenta, gente cenando con gorra deportiva. Aun con todo eso lo disfrutamos pero no volveremos.

This was a fantastic dinner with excellent service. Sebastian our server was exemplary, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant was classic steakhouse with a modern yet casual vibe. There was a singer playing the piano on the night we dined here and she added to the experience. My fiancé had the filet and I had the trout. Our sides were the potato Mousseline and creamed spinach. Everything was delectable and my fiancé was raving about the gorgonzola butter and I believe this was her favorite restaurant. We both enjoyed it, but raved about that butter. We will be returning to the Mayakoba for our wedding in June. I have no doubt that we will end up there one of the nights. It's a great restaurant and experience. Thanks to Sebastian once again.

Don't go early. The resort security will not allow you to enter. Had to persist and get rude, ruined my relaxed vibe. I won't ever go back. Thumbs down.

Great restaurant at the Fairmont Mayakoba- it was our favorite place during our visit. The martini bar is fun before dinner and the food is exceptionally tasty and high quality! Oscar treated us very well and we will definitely be back!!

Fantastic experience at Tauro! The food was incredibly delicious and the service was top notch. The martinis were very well made. The filet was cooked perfectly. Sebastian and Jesus and their team took such good care of us! There was an incredibly talented live pianist playing at the martini bar which added a very nice ambience to the experience! We will definitely be back!

We had an excellent experience at Tauro. Filet was excellent quality. Our server, Bryan, was very friendly and attentive. We brought a bottle of wine which was accommodated with a corkage fee. Overall, a great experience.

We showed up at 5:30 for a 6pm reservation last night Dec 22nd. The security guard refused to let us in saying Tauro was booked. Even tho we made a reservation 5 days ago and confirmed twice even on the day of. The security guard wouldn’t let the taxi driver in nor would he let us talk to anyone from the restaurant or give us a number to contact. We paid over 50$ each way in the taxi and then had trouble finding another nice dinner bc it was so late already. I will be expecting an email about this situation. Completely unacceptable behavior.

Fantastic experience--we happened upon a buyout of the resort so the restaurant was unexpectedly empty. We had, likely, the best dining experience of our lives and come from Napa so our bar was fairly high. Food quality and service was excellent.

The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely will return this week during my stay. The staff were all friendly and very pleasant We were on the all inclusive plan with a set menu. We ordered tropical tuna tartare. 11/10 Bavette was 9/10. It was a bit chewy at the end. Would highly recommend the Tauro

Awesome. Firstly, they accommodated my mom's allergy and dietary restrictions. Independently of that the staff are informed and attentive. I really liked the green peppercorn sauce (like steak Madagascar). Just totally awesome in general!!!
