Two venues side-by-side & right on the water in Currumbin. Enjoy exclusive views of the creek while dining in our cafe downstairs, or takeaway and on sit on the shore. We are predominately walk-in only with reservations available only for upstairs. Groups of 12 pax or more please email hello@tarte.com.au for package options.

We’ve just opened our newest space dubbed ‘the hideout’ in Currumbin. Upstairs from our restaurant overlooking the beautiful Moreton bay fig tree and water, for hosting private functions up there with 3 different dining packages. Brunch. High tea. Family style lunch. Bookings for 12 - 30 pax require use of this space.

Unfortunately we were given cold coffee and waited 1 hour from time of arrival to receive any food. Very disappointing as there were still a lot of empty tables at this time.

Great ambience and food and while service was very friendly & polite, not enough staff on and service VERY very slow which really spoilt the flow of the experience. At the end of our desert we were still waiting for our cocktails!

Venue is in an idyllic spot. We were a bit out of the way and didn’t see much of the staff, although they were personable and lovely.

I have been here 5 times now, always been great. One time had to wait half hour for food however was given notice and therefore decision was ours. Haven’t been disappointed with food quality or selection. Today, it took 45mins for food to arrive without any notice, and many patrons were getting annoyed. Food arrived, it was subpar comparative to other times and no apology or warning from wait staff. It was not busy either when compared to other times. Food quality dropped, portion size declined and had hair in both food and drinks. Despite many complaints from others (we decided not to add to the hostility for the poor staff), there was no discount or anything offered to compensate. I say they sadly lost some regulars today as both Burleigh and Currumbin are typically spot on.

We arrived at 1055 for our 1100 booking, we’re seated then ordered drinks and meals about 5 mins later. Coffee out in 10 mins. Meals were still no out at 1205!!!! No communication on arrival. No update thru the hour plus waiting. A table of 2. Asked what’s happening? It’ll be another 15 mins. Cafe was only 70 odd percent full at the time. 1220 our meals came out. Went to pay. $90 for brekky for 2 with a wait like that is not good enough and rubbish value. We have eaten there twice before without issue. No attempt to even throw in a coffee for the wait. Really poor guys.

Omg…my girlfriends and I had lunch here and we loved it!!! The location was beautiful. All the meals were good size and so delicious and can definitely recommend their cocktails!! We can’t stop talking about it and have already said we are definitely going back soon

We loved our seating, looking towards the outdoors & the river We were there for breakfast, our coffee was served quickly after ordering it. Our food was outstanding and we would definitely come back again

Beautiful place. Good coffee & if you’re looking for something different for breakfast they have it. Allow time as they are always busy and food takes longer to be delivered. They also need a separate line for people who have bookings.

As in previous visit, food and staff great. Will be back again. Lack of available parking onsite is downside.

We enjoyed our lunch - there were 9 of us and we all really liked our meals. Staff were so lovely - were a bit slow at times but it was Easter Saturday so totally udnerstandable. Lovely spot and we we will be back again.

We booked as a group (11 people) and were in the top room...which seemed like a delightful win until we waited 45 minutes for 3 drinks. We then waited another 20 minutes for the rest of our party to receive their first drinks. At this point one of group was told they didn't have the beer he ordered 45 minutes ago in stock and we had to reorder a soda water they also forgot. We were told meals would be 25 minutes away, which wouldn't be a big deal....if we had some drinks (including water). We then had to wait close to an hour for food. It seems the top room equated to out of sight out of mind - we had to chase staff for service repeatedly by going dowstairs to attract attention. The food was fine and the staff, when they actually showed up, were pleasant. In hindsight, we should have left after 20 minutes and grabbed burgers downstairs.

Perfect spot, highly recommend. Staff were lovely. Only issue was the 2 seater table was a bit small & wobbly. Other than that, we had a great breakfast. Will definitely be back!

A bit hard to find the place and parking was challenging. Annoying to see the man from the next shop kept guarding his shop car spot and staring whoever was in the restaurant:( Food and drinks were good to try once but if I want to go back there? I am not sure. I found blonde hairs stack on glasses and plates.

I met a girl friend for brunch. We were sorted outside on verandah; it was super noisy! Then we ask whether we could move inside as we originally booked thinking it would be less noisy, however it didn’t help much, it was still very load and hard to hear. I love the food but will sit outside in the cafe next time, so surprising and disappointing.

The best position on the Coast. The beautiful Currumbin Creek lapping right in front of your table, shady trees over the sand and the light changing the patterns on the water. The food was delicious and the service was good. We were given bakery treats as our wait was longer than they would have liked. Gazing at that view with good company was a pleasure.

Booked for 12.30. Taken at 12.45. Table on deck squashed in a corner very near other diners. Staff very pleasant but obviously knew they were facing long delays getting food out. Table beside us left after waiting an hour. Fortunately we had plenty of time , we did get our food around 1.35. Drink was slow in coming too. Love the location and food but our first visit there was much better than this one.

My first visit and I was very impressed. The food menu was great, lots of different choices. The staff were lovely, so welcoming and friendly. Location wise well you cant find a more beautiful spot, on Currumbin Creek.

Fabulous venue, friendly staff and really great food. The soft shell crab burger is sensational. Only downside, lobster roll is a little disappointing for nearly $40.

We booked a table which I would highly recommend as it’s a very busy spot, because it’s so good! Table service was great the girls were friendly and made sure to update us on any wait times for food, they were also quick to clean tables and clear finished dishes. The food was well worth the wait beautifully plated and tasted amazing, would recommend the savoury crumpets. The location, vibe and atmosphere was perfect for our Sunday brunch! Thanks tarte team x

Simply amazing and relaxing ambiance on the river bank. The premises are quaint but refurbished and open to the outdoors. You can choose to dine indoors or on the deck. The staff are very polite and efficient without being intrusive. The food is excellent in both quality and choice. The meals are marginally on the large side but better to leave a little than leave hungry.Not the place for an inexpensive family meal but top choice for a valued experience. We will most definitely be return customers

i was excited to go for lunch. having been before for cakes .. i had put in the booking platform that i was there with my sister for her 50th birthday also told the staff when arriving and literally no one cared !! or mentioned it .. and we had to wave down the staff reach time we wanted something even though the restaurant was very quite abs staff wore just taking amongst themselves
