We are known for our unique dining experience serving various kinds of Tartare: Classic French, Argentinian, Parisa, Tuna, Salmon, Scallops & Avocado. We have in addition a nice selection of Wellingtons: Beef, Salmon, Ratatouille & Cordon Blue. Both our Chefs are from diverse culinary backgrounds (French/Thai) bringing to each plate an array of flavors with a carefully balance to delight your palate. We serve steaks and various pasta dishes including our Ratatouille Pasta, friendly to our vegetarian and vegan dinners. We serve a variety of wines and costumers are welcome to bring their own wine to accompany their evening for $28 corkage fee. Unique to dining experience is our occasional live music played by our Chef. A variety of musical styles performed live for dinners to accompany their evening. Our goal is for you to enjoy a timeless moment, encouraging everyone to leave their everyday life as you enter our doors. Table reservations are for the entire evening. Merci!

You cannot find a better example of premium French dinning in/around Pinehurst. The quality and creativity behind each dish pairs nicely with the atmosphere and rich culture you’d expect. Kudos to a chef George on what he’s created.

The experience was exceptional. The chef had the most amazing Wellingtons. And the chef is a classically trained violinist as well. He played for us for over 45 minutes. So great of a restaurant our party went there twice during our visit to Pinehurst. I highly recommend.

The food was excellent! A really lovely evening topped off with the owner coming out and playing the violin as we finished our wine. What a lovely little find. Looking forward to many more experiences at Tartare!

Best restaurant experience we have had in Pinehurst in a long time. Food was excellent, great value, unique and delicious. Perfect service. We will definitely return!

We had a fantastic experience at our first visit to Tartare. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. Every course was perfect. The French Onion Soup was among the best I have ever experienced. The beef Wellington and rib-eye steak were prepared to perfection. It was a very European dining experience, which we loved. Towards the end of the evening, the chef/owner came out and played the violin for the patrons until closing. We believe that Tartare is by far the best restaurant in the area and is now our favorite.

Tartare provides an amazing array of menu options all of which are expertly prepared by a chef who, once finished in the kitchen, comes into the dining room to give the remaining patrons a taste of his exceptional violin skills. It is not likely you will find this sort of experience anywhere else.

The pace of the meal was perfect, from the tartare to the dessert. Highly recommend the tuna tartare. We had a very enjoyable evening.
