The Tartan of Redlands is a family owned establishment that has been bringing friendly service and quality meals to the community for over fifty five years. For lunch or dinner we believe in eating, drinking and being happy. Sandwiches such as the hot pastrami and tuna melt on a variety of fresh breads are available for lunch, fresh soup is made daily and of course you cannot go wrong with the delicious Tartan Burger, a local favorite. For dinner enjoy a great steak, salmon, baby back ribs and more. We also have a full bar featuring dozens, if not hundreds, of great drinks. I booked our engagement dinner for 7 pm on a Sunday since I worked until 6pm. The dinner was for 18 people. My 730pm everyone arrived and the waitress then tells us the the place closes at 8pm and last call for out dinner was 815pm like really???!! Why allow me to book such a large group an hour before you close and rush us out and cut us short on drinks. Ever since Covid your hours have been cut. Not everyone has weekends off or got out of work at 3pm. Had I just own you closed at 8pm I would have booked elsewhere

This is one of our favorite places to go. The food and drinks are always great. The difference is really the staff. You are family when you go there. We prefer the indoor dining because of the 1950’s decor and vibe. The pix of old Redlands and movie stars sets a nice mood. There is outdoor seating also and live music at times. You can’t go wrong eating there and you will leave with some money left in your wallet.

We ended up leaving the restaurant before ordering our meal. We reserved outdoor seating for lunchtime, a month before the date. When we arrived we were told there was a private party in the patio and we weren’t allowed to sit outside. That would normally be ok except that the interior of this restaurant is very dark and it was freezing inside. There were many ceiling fans turning.

Delicious food, great menu. Love the outdoor dining. The customer service was excellent. All of the servers were very friendly and very attentive. Great and fun atmosphere.
