A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Tapas, & Friends. Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia’s first Sherry Bar in Sydney, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'.

    Tapavino is one of those place that you can visit over and over again, and it never disappoint. The food and drinks is always amazing, topped by amazing service. Thank you to Heidi who made our evening even more enjoyable! I totally recommend Tapavino to everyone.

    Outstanding service, all the wait staff were lovely and accommodating especially as we had a young child dinning with us

    Overall this was not a bad place to spend the evening for dinner. The food was good - there were dishes we loved (cow’s milk cheese and honey, beef tartare, jamón Serrano), dishes we liked (albondigas, scallops, white asparagus), and dishes we did not enjoy (pork neck - overly fatty, patatas bravas - lacking in flavour). The Negroni was excellent also. However, the service was slightly lacking. Our servers were kind and attentive, but there was a “problem in the kitchen” to quote our server that resulted in us waiting nearly 35 minutes between our first round of tapas and the remaining dishes. They did make it right by taking the one we waited the longest for (the scallops) off of our bill. I would go back and give them another chance! The food was good and luckily we were not in a hurry.

    Delicious food and vibrant atmosphere coupled with friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Very busy which is a good sign but the food arrived quickly and was presented beautifully.
