Always a great time and great food!!! This visit was for my son and his friends for prom, they all loved it and stated that the owners and staff made them feel special and made the night “phenomenal”!!! Thank you for always being a great place to celebrate!

Service was fantastic- fun and very knowledgeable. We tried 5 different dishes based on our waiter’s recommendations and they all were delicious. The kitchen was willing to modify the paella to accommodate a shellfish allergy which was really nice of them. Very convenient to the Civic Center so perfect for dinner and a show.

A gem! We recently discovered Tapas & Beers and looked forward to checking it out. It's in an excellent location away from busy roads, so the setting is attractive inside and out. The space is comfortable and beautiful. The service was phenomenal and knowledgeable. We loved everything we ordered; wine pairings were right on point. This might easily become one of our go-to spots before shows and baseball games.

What a gem of a restaurant! The food was so fresh and the service was outstanding. Cold local craft beer and an excellent selection of wines. We started with caprese made with creamy burratta and lovely, fresh basil. For entry, I had the wild-caught salmon that was served with a dill cream sauce that was divine! Husband had the lamb that was delicious and super tender. All cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back when I return to San Diego. Such a delight!

Hidden gem in downtown San Diego. Excellent small shareable plates, well curated menu. We enjoyed two flatbreads, one sausage, one smoked salmon, and the carmelized Brussels sprouts, with wine and beer. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked great. The friendly owners also work the restaurant so there is a refreshing level of attentiveness. Nice wine and beer selection. I’ve been here twice and had a great experience both times.

A true gem, this must be one of San Diego's best kept secrets. We had various items from the menu and each was a wonderful experience with a little deviation from the ordinary. Whether you are a foodie or just looking for a memorable meal, Tapas & Beers delivers ( at a reasonable price no less).
