    This semi-private area is directly next to our 20-foot tall Quan Yin statue which stands atop a koi pond where 3D projection mapping technology creates animations to bring this signature statue to life. This table requires a 50% deposit & a $1,000 food and beverage minimum. The food and beverage minimum is required at the time of booking + tax and gratuity – (suggested gratuity amount: 20%). All items ordered at your table will go towards your minimum spend. Prix Fixe menus are available upon requests 48 hours prior to your reservation date.     Food was excellent but we had to ask for silverware, our drinks landed after when ate our meal and were ready for the check, we had to ask for a lot of standard dining things. The host sat us next to the kitchen door although the restaurant was practically empty, even when we left there were several open tables. We did have a reservation and I frequent this Tao often. Maybe the server had a bad night. It also appeared that all the people of color were sat in the 1 black servers section.

    Trey was an amazing server! The ambiance was beautiful- it felt like we were in an Asian palace. We went around 6 and the noise level was mellow so we could hear each other. Food was excellent! On the pricey side.

    Plat très bon mes le service n’es t’es pas à la rencontre on dinner en 1h à penne pour paye plus de 400$ pour 2 personne je trouve sa un peut exagéré

    It was just a horrible night. First off, this is my second visit. I reserved for special occasions, my boyfriend mom was visiting from Florida so I wanted to make a very special night for her. FYI, she is 70, something year old. She is in handicap person. I called in to make sure she could use the elevator. They said okay. Server Niclole was just terrible. When we arrived at the table, next to us was big birthday party table. Nicole was focused on THAT particular table. She SHOULD treat customers equally. We also spend over $300 for our table. Boyfriend asked her to bring some ice in the cup for mom over a few times, and she ignored. Then she almost smacked the cup on the table. Her service is uncomfortable and unreal. Secondly, when we are leaving the restaurant, we used the elevator, this white semi long hair in the back, he was very rude, said next time if you want to use the elevator, just ask the employee. When we arrived, we followed the host to use an elevator, there are NOT A PROBLEM with it. He was so rude and has a nasty attitude. I should have asked the guy's name, but I was sick and tired of the night's vibe. The table next to us, it was so loud, I didn't even feel like even talking. I'm so disappointed. Very irritating. Because it was so different than first visiting this place. When my boyfriend and I had a dinner in February, it was outstanding service, and the server was super friendly. I even remember her name, Julia. She was lovely.

    They must have a new chef, the food was exceptional . The last 3 times the food was terrible. The food was unbelievably good.Will go again for the food not just for the beautiful decor

    My only concern is the wait time for food. But Trey, our dear, waiter is awesome. He’s very kind and I know even though how busy it was, he tried his best. I love him. Overall, my experience is great and will come back again in an earlier time to avoid the late night rush.

    I am not one to use superlatives without merit, but this may be the best restaurant in Los Angeles. Atmosphere, service, and the food are a wonderful blend of excellence. My wife laughed at me because I made happy sounds with every bite, and Trey was a delight as a server—attentive, helpful, fun, and efficient. This restaurant is going in our "rotation." By the way, we had Chilean Sea Bass, spicy tuna, lo mein noodles, and OMG the blackened chili chicken. Dessert was equally brilliant—molten chocolate cake and carrot cake that comes in an edible pot. The carrot cake is layered with icing all the way through.
