TAO Chicago offers guests a sensual trip through the cuisines of Asia. The design-driven restaurant and adjoining nightclub is inspired by the original TAO locations in New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

TAO Chicago features multiple levels, creating dynamic spaces within the historic building’s shell, while adding TAO’s Asian-influenced DNA to the restaurant, lounge and nightclub including murals by artist Hush and TAO’s signature 16-foot-tall Quan Yin statue anchoring one end of the dining room.

TAO Chicago’s restaurant menu, created by TAO Group Partner and Chef Ralph Scamardella , is complete with Pan-Asian offerings from the sea, sky and land including signature dishes like Satay of Chilean Sea Bass, Crispy Rice Tuna and a Wagyu Rib-Eye.

    We had a great time. We started with soup and shrimp tempura. The restaurant is quite beautiful and a very upbeat atmosphere. The music is fun but to loud. We had the pork fried rice and orange chicken. Food came out very hot and large portions. Service is great and the entire team works well together. Chef Kevin Wu and tge manager both came by our table making a wonderful dinner even more special. You will have fun.

    We were happy to be seated near the top of the stairs, where we aren't surrounded by other tables and the music is at a relatively acceptable level. Our main issue is that our server was mostly absent. We don't need someone hovering over us, but our order was not even taken for over half an hour after our arrival, and not until long after our drinks arrived. One side dish was incorrect. Had the server been around sooner to ask how everything was, we would have said something. As it was, we ate it, and it was "fine," but not what we had wanted or ordered. I think the fault was in the kitchen, but there didn't seem to be a way to correct it before we had finished the rest of the meal, given how scarce our server was. We also had a long wait to get our bill, then she disappeared again. We finally went to the check-in desk to pay.

    The only thing that exceeds the quality of the dishes is the service provided by the staff from the time you enter the front door until the time you leave. Always, and the food is excellent.

    I absolutely love(d) everything about Tao! It was an excellent place for my daughter’s birthday celebration. Would recommend to anyone and everyone no matter the occasion. From the check-in desk customer service, to the seating, to the waitress and waiters, to the appetizer, entrees and drinks … Everything was so good!

    It was excellent. Food, waiter, dj! Nothing to do with towel, but I’m gonna use the rest of my characters to tell OpenTable not to make it so hard to leave a review. First, you have to figure out that you have to get a code texted it to you to be able to do this and now they don’t even wanna let you go on unless you have 50 words to say. Make it easy, OpenTable
