Tana is an upscale Italian restaurant drawing from local Chef Michael Gulotta's New Orleans Sicilian upbringing as well as his time training in the Liguria region of Italy.

Experience cocktails in our comfy lounge with jewel toned plush booths and ambient lighting. Dine in the classically Italian styled main room with wood beams or The Villa, which is light and airy with lots of natural light, as if you're dining al fresca on the Sicilian coast.

We had a wonderful dinner. The food was delish and the ambiance was top notch. My only complaint which can’t be helped was the noise level. I would definitely go back.

We were able to grab an early seating for dinner. We had a good experience & I’d recommend the food items we chose. Oysters bordelaise, four cheese ravioli, blue crab and squid ink fusilli.

My dining experience at TANA was truly exceptional. From the moment we entered, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made us feel right at home. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, each expertly crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Personnel were great, food was very good but the squid was cold and fishy tasting. It was removed from the bill, but no one ask if we wanted another dish. Which we would have ordered.

Only complaint I have is the noise. It is too loud for conversation. Food, service and staff are excellent. I would like to have had better acoustics for the price I paid for dinner and not so much background noise. Also the decaf coffee was very watery. Decaf cappuccino with expresso beans was very good.

Everyone was outstanding! We went for my son’s graduation from college and they treated with absolute warmness and kindness. Both owners treated him, shook his head, and gave him kind words of encouragement and congratulations. 20plus stars

Our experience was ruined by poor etiquette from the staff. My husband and I were asked to leave by the manager to accommodate another party. We had been at our reserved table for less than 2 hours. The dining experience was fine until we were rudely interrupted. I will not be returning to Tana for this reason alone.

Pace of the service not good. Took a hour to get entree’s. Food was very good. Calamari and oysters appetizers top notch.

Tana is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely bar area. Food was excellent; The squid ink pasta was delicious. The meatball appetizer was also very good. Service was good. As the restaurant filled up, our servers seemed to be covering many tables and were unable to be as attentive toward the end of the meal. But, it didn't take away from the evening. I will definitely be back.

Amazing, as always! The Hokkaido scallops (imported fresh from Japan) are absolutely phenomenal and by far one of the most memorable bites of 2024. Can’t wait to go back!

Delicious food. Great service, Jason and Johnathon were very attentive. Very loud in the dining room. You’re seated very close along the banquette seat. The stuffed focaccia was very hard to eat, too tough to cut with the knife. Similar to a muffelatta. The veal Marsala and meatballs and pasta were yummy. The hazelnut and blueberry cake was beautiful. Complimentary valet parking makes parking easy. I would recommend. I will probably return with more than two guests in order to have a private table next time.

Our service from Chi and Kaitlyn were excellent and the food was top tier. I hope small complimentary chocolate desserts become available in a large portion for purchase as they were extremely delicious!

This is truly one of the very best restaurants in the Greater Metropolitan New Orleans Area!!! It rivals NYC Italian Restaurants like Carbone’s and Rao’s. The ambiance, food and service is PERFECT.

I never usually write reviews on restaurants, but we had an amazing experience at Tana for my husband’s birthday dinner! Everything we ordered was spectacular (meatball appetizer, cheese wheel pasta, radiatore, tiramisu, limoncello lemon drop martini, cat 504 drink, and espresso martini)!! The cheese wheel pasta experience was amazing. The chef came over to our table and asked us how spicy we wanted it, if we had any allergies, or if we wanted to add anything to it. He was awesome! We are already trying to figure out when to go back. Service was amazing and the ambiance is just beautiful! Highly recommend! Also, I expected the ambiance to be very formal, so we dressed for that, but there seemed to be a large variety in what everyone was wearing. We saw a few people in jeans and some in dresses. Nobody looked over or under dressed or out of place. I know I am always trying to figure out what to wear to a new place so I wanted to add that in!

Went to the trading menu for TANA when it was at May Pop. My wife got the pro chop Parmesan and absolutely loved it. The size of a small tennis racket, and great flavor. When we went to TANA she was excited about getting it again. Not the same. Still huge but the flavor was not there. Maybe some red gravy to dip, not sure. Hoping it’s was just a busy night with jazz fest
