Tana is an upscale Italian restaurant drawing from local Chef Michael Gulotta's New Orleans Sicilian upbringing as well as his time training in the Liguria region of Italy.

Experience cocktails in our comfy lounge with jewel toned plush booths and ambient lighting. Dine in the classically Italian styled main room with wood beams or The Villa, which is light and airy with lots of natural light, as if you're dining al fresca on the Sicilian coast.

We had an outstanding dining experience at Tana. Michael, our waiter, and Paul, his assistant, were both knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our visit. We began with a refreshing libation called CAT 504, which was the perfect start to our meal. For appetizers, we had the meatballs topped with ricotta cheese in a marinara sauce, served with focaccia – it was absolutely delicious. Following that, we enjoyed a Caesar salad wedge with an anchovy friso; the dressing was excellent. The highlight of the evening was the tableside pasta experience, where the Alfredo was prepared in a cheese wheel right at our table. We also savored a perfectly cooked tomahawk steak. To finish, we had the blueberry lemon sorbet, which was cool and refreshing. The atmosphere and ambiance at Tana were delightful, with tasteful decor and the added charm of watching fresh ravioli being made. From start to finish, the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Tana and can’t wait to return.

Best new restaurant in Old Metairie! Started with a cocktail in the lounge before our reservation. I had a perfectly made gin Martini. Cocktail server was wonderful. We were seated for dinner & everything was impeccable; food, service, ambiance. Foie gras, ceasar salad, black squid ink pasta (with white wine pairing), pistachio cake desert with single espresso (expertly made with perfect crema). Felt like I was in New York, Chicago or LA not Metairie. World class restaurant!

The atmosphere was lovely, the waitress we had, I believe was Jordan, wasn’t as pleasant as she could have been, she seemed like she was rushing us and when we asked for a minute to enjoy our appetizers before we decided on entrees she seemed irritated and after that she really didn’t give us much attention. But the secondary waiter Jason was very good and informative and pretty much handled us for the remainder of our dinner. Another thing was that we ordered soups with the appetizer for the people not eating the appetizers because of dietary restrictions, but they wouldn’t serve us the soup until they cleared the appetizer plates?? But the food was excellent, with only the exception of the soup had tough pieces of flower or stem that we had to take out of our mouth but it was delicious otherwise.

Tana was great! The food, ambiance, and service were all impeccable. If you want to have a quiet dinner, then it could be a little noisy. But the experience was one of my best dinner experiences.

We have been 4 times now and it never disappoints! Food is great, service is tops. Noise level is noise level, I doube anyone could find a quiet place. We thoroughly enjoy Tana and look forward to returning.
