Indulge your senses in a multi-course Chef's dinner, followed by evocative live theatre. Dinner is served in our lake-view eclectic dining room, where you'll "mmmmm" your way through our three or eight-course seasonal tasting menu.
After dinner, move into our intimate black-box theatre to enjoy an original modern performance every Friday and Saturday night. Join us Sun-Thurs for live events, such as Murder Mystery Dinners, Themed Trivias, and All-You-Can-Eat Tapas Tuesdays!
Sylver Spoon is the perfect location for a lunchtime wine tasting with the ladies, or a romantic dinner date. We also offer a venue for private parties, company events, and weddings. The food at this place is amazing!! We had great service and everything was delicious! We started out with the mozzarella and meatballs for our appetizers, then moved to Orange Duck and Salmon with veggies, sautéed spinach, ended with peanut butter torte. So yummy!!

Murder mystery dinner: $60 for tickets that included dinner and participating in the Murder Mystery event. The first course was a limp Cesar salad with sour dressing. Dessert was 'dessert roulette' or a blah cheesecake. But what really soured our visit was how they charged for the event. 2 of the 4 main entrees offered for the "included dinner" had an upcharge of $15 each, so only 2 entrees were actually included. With the upcharge on the entrees + the exorbitant amount they charged for drinks, we ended up being charged an additional $90 for 1 upcharge entrée and 3 drinks on top of the $180 we paid for the dinner (3 tickets). When we questioned that, we were told that they included a mandatory 20% gratuity that was charged on our tickets plus the additional items. Their website says “Gratuity will be paid to your server at the event”. It does not state an imposed 20% gratuity on the tickets plus additional items. I did check, the menu does say $60 + 20% gratuity, but that is only after you’ve arrived at the event. Then, they didn’t even bother to present our bill. We were one of the last tables to leave and finally, not having been served with a bill and not being able to get anyone who works there’s attention, we left assuming that they would charge the upcharges to our card on file. (We didn’t know about the imposed $44 tip at this point.) Instead, we were called by the restaurant saying we hadn’t paid our $90 tab. This is when we found out about the imposed tip. And instead of being able to take a card over the phone, they insisted we venmo the money to them. Which feels like a scam. I enjoyed the actual murder mystery and was planning on returning. But being charged $271 for three meals of sub-par food, constant upcharges, our service being very slow or non-existent (when it came to the check), and then the mandatory tip on the ticket price has really made me question if I want to return. I could get a much better meal for almost $300 with better service.

A very fun evening with excellent food and a great play. The theatre is small, which I liked, and the performers did an outstanding job of acting. Very enjoyable time!

I had my daughters coming from Austin yesterday and I decided to invite them to the 8 course experience with wine pairing. It was another great evening at Sylver Spoon. Every tasting dish was outstanding and the wine pairing was perfect. Mia managed to pace the courses very well. My guests were impressed by the food and service. They said it’s easily comparable to what you get at the high end restaurants in Austin that offer a tasting menu. Great culinary gem in New Braunfels.

Not a great place for fine dining. Had the Easter prix fix. Very sloppy prepared, the cooks just didn’t have cooking techniques. Paid $15 extra for the filet Mignon: got barely a 4 oz piece, i asked for Medium done, and I received overly well done.. had no taste and was tough meat. Second but last time i will dine here.

This is our 2nd time here, had a blast! Our waitress Bailey did a fantastic job. Very courteous, great service, very prompt and delightful attitude. Food and wine was above expectations, play was great as well, will definitely be making a trip back!
