Sweetbriar restaurant delivers New American cooking kissed by the flames of a wood-fired grill and a seasonally directed menu that has something for everyone. Love mushrooms? This is the place to partake, since they're sourced from all over the world. Case in point? A Seared maitake mushroom, dressed in a warm parmesan cream sauce with ricotta gnudi and Guanciale chips. Or, start things off light with a crudité of seasonal vegetables with a sweet basil mascarpone before tucking into a heartier house favorite of wood fired spinach dip composed of French gruyere and charred spinach served with wood fire grilled bread .

Service was great, food was very average for NYC. Overly salty and the meat in the burger was off to the point I worried I might get sick.

This has become one of my favorite places when visiting NYC. Great drinks, food and service. I’m obsessed with the potato wedges!

Terrible. Just terrible. Not sure how they are even open. 1 sever for entire restaurant. We had to leave middle of meal because they were unable to take our order.

We had a really nice time. The service was attentive but also let us linger. The food was tasty and flavorful. One of our party has hearing loss and the restaurant was quiet enough for them to comfortably participate in the conversation.

While the setting and food were noteworthy, the reception service was awkward. Three out of five arrived a few minutes early with the other two moments behind. The host was stiff and brusque with us and refused to seat us until the others arrived (2 minutes later). Unnecessary formality was misplaced.

Really enjoyed my meal! Was with my parents, and the noise level was good for their septuagenarian ears. The food was overall quite good. The garlic bread burrata special was amazing, the branzino was a great shared entree. I had a side of fried broccoli that was a little too fried through for my liking, but otherwise everything was delicious. Our server Kate was awesome, and the room and decor is great.

Just an absolutely incredible experience. Great vibe. Very cool/chill front sitting area with a bar. Back restaurant was beautiful. Service was impeccable. And the food was amazing.

The service was great!! We were offered fabulous recommendations for Easter Brunch and they even made a menu modification for us - although only serving a prefix menu. Our server Chris was WONDERFUL, such a delight. Excellent customer service from everyone we encountered!!!

Totally recommended. Could be a little cheaper to help have more people, I think. Food was delicious, ambience perfect, service great, as expected.
