It was my second time here and it was like the first time : a perfect moment! If you looking for one of the best sushi handroll bar it’s definitely here : the staff is so kind, the food is tasty, delicate (the chef is an expert and give you best advice). The decoration is simple and cozy. I was there with my family both time and they really appreciate this restaurant. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and I hope I’ll be back a third time

I rarely leave reviews, but I am compelled to write my first. In short, one of my favorite sushi spots: the quality of the fish is incredible, the creativity and attention to detail in its preparation + presentation, the kindness of the staff, and the all-at-once casual yet elevated ambiance is hard to over-recommend. I have been here twice now. The first, I came solo on a busy Friday night and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating - I was quickly seated at the chef's counter and served by Chef Kevin. I would describe myself as an experienced sushi enthusiast (I dare not use the 'c' word, lest I oversell my palette). I opted for the "premium" (5 handrolls: scallop, salmon, kampachi, snow crab, toro) and each was a true gustatory delight. What I was most immediately struck by was Chef Kevin's incredible skill, attention, and hard work. This was a busy service with a full house of patrons and my handrolls came quickly and perfectly made. Though we didn't speak much, his kindness and gratitude for my business was clear. He served me several extra pieces, each incredible, and I also ordered the A5 wagyu handroll which needs no further description (those who know, know). I asked one of the other staff more about Chef Kevin and I learned he is the head chef and had worked 20+ straight days. Seeing how hard he worked during this service, I was unsurprised and knew I wanted to support this business. I came back 3 days later with my girlfriend, specifically requesting to be seated Chef Kevin's area at the counter, and opted for the omakase experience. What is crazy to me is that my experience was 3x better than the last. The omakase has many pieces not on the menu and we were both totally blown away. It was a slower night and we had more of a chance to chat up Chef and the staff. These are exactly the kind of people you want to see succeed and they have won my business many times over. Looking forward to many more evenings here. Do yourself a favor: GO!

Love this concept... these rolls are more like mini tacos in a seaweed shell. What's extra nice is that each piece of seaweed is painstakingly wrapped in plastic to preserve its crispness. So when you bite into it, it feels thin and extra crispy. So, only unwrap just before you take a bite. Great combinations inside. Cool space with nice lighting.

Best hand roll bar I tried in NYC so far! Place has been opened for about a month, glad I stumbled upon this place. Service to quality of food to price point, checks all the boxes. Every roll was surprisingly great, their sushiro handroll specialty was the icing on the cake, must try! I’ll give it 2-3 months before this place gets really difficult to reserve, especially at the sushi counter! Thanks Kevin for serving us!

Under staffed. Service and waittimes unreasonably long. One waitress and chef on hand. It’s not a fair experience but food is good.

My husband and I had a great time and a delicious meal at Sushiro. We throughly enjoyed our omakasa experience there. There were a variety of sushi and hand rolls in the course. I especially love eel & foie gras hand roll! What a way to complete our dinning experience. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic food and very kind chefs and waitresses. The sushi was amazing, creative combinations and pure, fresh fish. This place is going to fill up very soon given its high quality standards and good price/value relation

We had the BEST experience at Sushiro with my mom and my stepfather for his birthday. The food was incredible, the service was so far the best I had since I moved in NYC. The restaurant is weak decorate simple, elegant and chic. If you want to come with friends or family to have a good time I highly recommend this place!!! Thank you again for your kindness I will come back :)
