Spectacular. Omakase like it's meant to be. A personal sushi serves a 13 course meal - each piece was a chapter in the overall story. The service from the restaurant staff was 3-star quality - close attention to the experience. An increasing rarity in SF. Would go back again and again. My only complaint is this is not really an "a la carte" sushi restaurant. Would be tough to stop in for a quick bite. This is a special occasion restaurant - but one to not miss.

I took my partner here for his birthday and it did not disappoint! The service, the ambiance, and most importantly, the food were all fantastic. There wasn't an average element to any part of the omakase and the service was impeccable. Would love to visit again!

One of the best omakases that I've done in SF. The fish and presentation was incredible. The service was 10/10, so attentive to everyone. Would definitely come back!

Excellent quality omakase sushi with truffle and caviar at very reasonable fixed price $125. Friendly knowledgeable sushi chefs at sushi bar were a pleasure as were very attentive restaurant staff. Very nice well curated wine and sake list.

This was my fiancé’s and my first time having an omakase experience, and it was everything we expected it to be and more. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and made us feel welcomed. Every dish was amazing, and it consistently got better every time an item was served. This was a special date night for us and we will be coming back and recommending this establishment to our friends and family. Thank you Sushi Hon staff!

Enjoyed our counter side omakase experience. Was able to have a good interaction with the sushi chefs and the staff was very accomodating. 16 Dish omakase experience was filling and so good!!

Chef Vincent made sure our experience was tailored to our needs and was overwhelmingly kind in addition to being extremely skilled. Staff is always knowledgeable and quick. We had a great time :) <3

Service was great. Water was always kept full. They made accommodations for my sister who couldn't eat the dessert. Quality of fish and rice were amazing.

The price went up $35 dollars compared to last year but food quality is not good. Also I feel like numbers of course were cut down. I was not full even I got the premium upgrade. Last time I was here, I got the standard omakase but it made me full. This time, the decoration of all dishes were not invested, especially the dessert compare to last time. One more thing, the restaurant was not busy but someone called me to ask if I could sit on the bar instead of table even though I booked online for table dinner 3 days ago. Fully disappointed this time and never come back again!

Sushi hon is in a great location but the food was not up to par. The fish was sitting on the counter pre cut prior to us arriving. It did not taste fresh or tender. The chef put so much wasabi in the sushi the fish was barely noticed.

Though there appears to be an a la carte option online, there was only an overpriced omakase option. The sushi was fine, but not outstanding, especially given the price point. San Francisco has many better sushi options, including omakase, for far more affordable prices.

The customer service was simply incredible! We had an earlier reservation - 5:30pm on a Saturday night. We felt extremely catered to throughout our entire experience. The music was great, though it was at times a little hard to hear our chef as he was explaining each dish. The food was incredible, so fresh, and really a highlight to the fish with each serving. Overall, a wonderful experience. We're very satisfied

The restaurant has some service issues, but this was on Valentine’s Day so it’s possible this was a one-off occurrence. Our omakase took 3 hours with very long delays 30-40 minutes between servings. One course was skipped but by that time it was getting late and we just wanted to go home. The manager was very apologetic and compensated our bill as well as some complimentary sake. My guess is they were severely understaffed for a packed Valentine’s Day and I’m hesitant to give a negative review with how apologetic the manager was, but the fact remains we paid nearly $500 (after the comps!) for two people and the experience was really not good. The restaurant was also very cold the entire evening and we weren’t sitting by the door. I ordered one glass of wine and would have ordered several more over the 3 hours we were there but no one came to check on us. Really bizarre experience from what is normally a great restaurant.

LOVED the omakase here and it's super reasonable (if you don't get supplements) but of course, we had to. It was worth it. The A5 wagyu, the uni, OMG. So good. We did Hinata for my birthday but both agreed this one was better and more affordable. Thanks so much for the amazing experience!
