Sushi Enya is a Japanese sushi restaurant that first opened in the heart of Little Tokyo in Downtown, LA. After five years of perseverance and experimentation in Downtown, LA, we opened our second location in beautiful Old Town Pasadena.
Our third location, which opened in 2018, is located in the beach city of Marina Del Rey.

Our owner Chef Kimiyasu Enya trained for over 10 years in Japan to perfect his craft.

It is our goal to ensure that quality remains consistent and every experience is enjoyable for all guests.

This has been our best Omakase experience to date. About an hour before our reservation, we received a call from the restaurant to verify if there were any allergies they needed to be aware of. They also asked if there was anything we absolutely did not want as part of the experience. Once there, we were welcomed by a friendly staff and seated at the bar with the chef Tai. He confirmed about the allergies and preferences. Super thorough!Watching him work was like an artist creating sushi masterpieces. Everything was made with precision and care and were presented so beautifully. Each dish tasted better than the one before. He even convinced us to try the mackerel (which is not a favorite of ours) and it did not disappoint. I mean…some of the pieces just melted in our mouths. Not only were the dishes delicious, Tai was super informative. We almost received sushi education while we were eating. It made the experience even better! And no need for soy sauce or wasabi because Tai takes care of all of that. The ambience of the restaurant was good. But we were enjoying the food and experience so much that we didn’t notice the rest of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and really attentive. We never had to ask for refills on our drinks because they just showed up. This is definitely a place we want to come back to!

Hostia was an artist. Watching him prepare our fabulous (fixed menu) meal justified the cost before ever tasting the incredible sushi he prepared. The Swordfish belly was melt-in-your-mouth wonderful! 42 years of eating sushi, and nothing, even in Tokyo, was ever as good. Presentation was superb. The food was better!!

We enjoyed authentic real but unique arranged Sushi and appetizers. All staff is very attentive and has good hospitality. Love to come back soon!

Very nice Omakase experience. Creative and well balanced combinations of the main ingredients and embellishments. Well paced. Everyone very friendly and professional. Great meal.

This is the second time I've brought some clients in for dinner and it was EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TIME!! The quality of the fish is top notch, and the staff and chefs are professional, outgoing, and attentive. I live up in the San Ferndando Valley, but won't hesitate to make the drive into traffic on the 405 to eat here again and again. Well done Sushi Enya, and we'll be seeing you soon!
