Great sushi and great service. Only thing I would change is to cover up the large open window as the outside of the place does not reflect the quality inside. Great omakase. Tuna was great

Seated at the counter is a very personal experience. A chance to have all your questions answered and learn about sushi and the fish. It’s like dining at home with a personal chef. Excellent food and we had the sake pairing which was perfect for the food.

Sushi Endo is like no where else in Austin! With only 10 diners per sitting this is a truly special experience. The sushi was amazing and so was the quiet atmosphere. Having the chef share the origin of everything from the nori, to the rice, to the fish, along with insights into the Tokyo fish market was like a mini-vacation to Japan. This restaurant is truly a treasure...I only hope I am still able to get a reservation once the word is out!

The food was superb. While there was some theatricality (shoutout to the a la minute tamagoyaki) on display, the real star was the seemingly endless stream of sushi: tuna four times (a few different grades & presentations), barracuda (which we'd never had before); and the standout wagyu. I've never had as good of a time at a chef's counter before. Chef Endo is a great conversationalist, and the whole staff bolstered that spirit while keeping the meal flowing. The nearly three-hour sitting felt quick! A note on the space: it's so big! We couldn't tell if the sizable lounge area was meant to be used after the meal (for cocktails? additional bites?). It's a cute space, but 10 diners + the staff doesn't quite fill it up enough.

A 20 course wonderfully curated omasake experience. Truly every piece of sushi and dish are heavenly. Yasu (head chef) and the entire team are beautiful souls and make incredible food and such a perfect experience. From the first course- I was sold and it only got better from there. The fish is flown in and sourced from Tokyo fish markets, where Yasu worked for a period of his career. I can't go on to say more about this special place. It has the makings to be an Austin Japanese staple! Darrel, the manager and creator has truly made this place incredible.

What an incredible experience. Incredible service and absolutely amazing food. Truly. The staff was so lovely and the fish was fresh and delightful. Definitely recommend the sake pairing.

Very intimate setting with lounge to have drinks. Service was top quality. Chef was friendly and spent plenty of time explaining the dishes. Food taste was excellent and ingredients were amazing. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

The food was INCREDIBLE. Hands-down, best food I've had in Austin. The atmosphere was wonderful, a beautiful space with a welcoming and laid back vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel more like old friends than like unknown customers. We're already looking for the next opening on our calendar to return!

I'm leaving this review to assist others. The food is very good and unique. But be aware that each person will be approximately $200. I was not aware of this when dining and would have thought twice before dining if I had known, as no menu or price is posted online or on the menu in the restaurant . Caveat emptor.

Incredible culinary experience. Chef Endo and staff are very friendly, and happy to answer questions. Highly recommend, just be aware it's very pricy.

Sushi Endo was an amazing experience from the moment I made a reservation. One member of our party has food allergies and they were seamlessly able to accommodate them. Chef paid careful attention as well. Every staff person demonstrated the best of hospitality. The drinks were fantastic. This was without question the best sushi in Austin. And I appreciated Chef Endo’s devotion to the Edo-style of preparation and service.

We were able to reserve a counter seat for two of chef Endo’s new omakase restaurant in west Austin. It was a fabulous experience not just for food but also the people. Chef Endo is affable and incredibly interesting which made for a wonderful atmosphere. Between the 10 customers pretty much all walked out with some new friends. Chef Endo hand-sculpted sushi was delightful. 2 sessions per night at the 10 person bar. You can relax early in their lounge with several cocktail opinions listening to some great music overhead. Chef Endo made our night enjoyable with not only a great omakase experience but also making us feel relaxed while enjoying conversation about sushi and his journey to Austin. And his love of SRV and Texas blues made for fun conversations. 20 course omakase Highlights- Lotus tempura great texture crisp Sesame tofu starter light and flavorful Butterfish nigiri creamy and rich melts in your mouth Aji excellent My favorite was the smoked trout nigiri. Not just the usual smoked/cured fish but actually smoked right at the counter with smoldering Canadian hay in a closed ceramic container. Perfect. Never had that flavor in a fish before. Chu-toro bluefin tuna nigiri followed by a toro temaki roll - decadent goodness. Ended the coarse with their mochi dessert with this Nikka coffee malt whiskey but they have several Japanese whiskey available off menu presented by their wonderful manager.

Excellent omakase experience, very personal but relaxed. Chef Endo and his staff have great personalities and provide a very comfortable experience with wonderful attention to detail. The food is all about the quality of the ingredients - I’m guilty of loving my Japanese fusions with crunchy flakes and spicy sauces, this is not that. But as it turned out, my wife’s and my favorite piece was a very simple and lean cut of tuna, akami, that filled our mouths with bright flavor. We ended with a shrimp head broth that was rich and comforting. Overall a delicious and rare experience.

I was absolutely floored by the crudo with the yuzu dashi. Everything else on the NYE menu was also well-planned and paced evenly. I've never had an eggplant dish that I enjoyed until now.
