American Japanese, not too authentic. Music too loud for me. But overall good experience if you crave for sushi.

Great omakase. Intimate vibe with creative and delicious sushi. 12 courses for $60 is a great price point in Chicago, BUT do not order the extras if you want to keep this good price point. Somehow my $60/person was $120/person before I knew it and we walked out with a VERY large bill. Also, gratuity might have been included and we were not told that when we got the bill so I ended up tipping 20% on top of what was already included and ouch.

The most boring omakase I’ve ever had. Here’s the same piece of fish with salt, then with lemon rind, then with chili sauce. Not an authentic omakase experience. Food is very meh. I would have preferred a few sushi rolls at a nice sushi place for same money.

The worst omakase selection I've ever had! Came on the recommendation of a friend, and looking back I understand what they meant when they said they had so many courses. Way better options out there, I'd recommend skipping this one.

My favorite “Sushi by Bou” experience out of all of the locations so far. Much more intimate the staff is so friendly and makes the environment so much fun. I ended up doing a solo dining moment and had the best time and they didn’t make me feel any sort of uncomfortable by myself if I made friends. fish was phenomenal. Will definitely be coming back with a group of friends to share the fun.

Each course was absolutely flavorful & decadent! We really enjoyed our omakase experience. The price for the 12-course is totally worth it. The a la carte menu is pricey, which is to be expected since the omakase price is the most affordable in the city & gets you in the door. I’d definitely go back.
