Sushi | Bar is an intimate Omakase that serves up a whimsy of its namesake fare in 17 courses. Hidden inside River North restaurant, Lady May, lies an intimate counter housing 12 prized seats. Positioned directly in front of our chefs' cutting boards, experience a free-spirited interpretation of the traditional sushi counter, where beloved standards receive unexpected and delightful riffs. With this intimate Omakase experience you will sit at the Chefs' counter where the Chefs will prepare every bite in front of you, serving you each course directly. This 17 course experience provides a playful modern twist on traidtional nigiri to create a fun and memorable experience. Several sake premium sake options in clude sake pairings is the focus of the beverage menu but wine, beer and cocktails are also available.

The most amazing dining experience! The chefs were so engaging, hilarious, and made delicious food! We had a small but mighty group during our reservation time but everyone working at the restaurant made us feel comfortable and welcome and like old friends. Now, the food!?!? Some of the most amazing bites I have ever had in my life. Was the perfect setting to celebrate our anniversary! If we lived in town, we’d go back any chance we could!

The pairing is not worth it as you get 5 pour of a small cup so we ended up adding a bottle .. with tax and tip and few extra bites check was $950.. not worth it to be honest..

One of the greatest Omakase experiences I have ever had. The quality of the fish and preparation was Michelin quality. It was truly amazing. 16 courses with drink pairings to compliment each bite. This is a must try.

Wow, I am so excited to see that Sushi | Bar has opened up in Chicago! I tried their location in Miami and it was exquisite! The experience in Chicago was beyond superb! So glad there is an amazing dining option now in the heart of the downtown area, especially sushi which is slim with options in this town. Walking into a private hidden room was such a treat! I have never had an omakase that was so approachable like this one was. No weird fish here, which I really appreciated. Only the good stuff, Tuna, Wagyu etc! The team was beyond amazing; they were so talkative and hospitable the whole time which we were not used to in this type of environment. We decided to do the sake pairing and WOW, i didnt realize I liked Sake as much until I was introduced to these ones I have never had! The experience overall was incredible. We already booked for next month! Cannot wait to get back.
