Add some real spice to your life! Superior Grill has been rated consistently as one of Louisiana’s best Mexican restaurants since 1983 when our first establishment opened in Shreveport. Our New Orleans location opened in 1997 and has become a landmark in fine quality foods with a festive Mexican atmosphere. Superior’s authentic Tex-Mex food is made from scratch every day with only the freshest ingredients. Our tortillas are hand-rolled with care all day long. For added flavor, all of our meats are cooked over a mesquite grill. We are proud of what we make and how we prepare it. Superior Grill is “the place to be” for happy hour, birthdays, office parties, and large groups. In addition to our festive indoor dining room, we offer a memorable outdoor dining experience on our landscaped patio featuring beautiful flowers and one of the best views of St. Charles Avenue. Superior Grill New Orleans is one of four locations including Shreveport, Baton Rouge, and Birmingham.

Ideal location for Mother’s Day celebration with three generations. The menu has something for everyone plus some MD specials. Prompt service. Good food. Good prices. Happy day! And glad they take reservations. We were seated right on time. Our table had the surf n turf special, salads, burger with bread & meat only, a brunch waffle, fresh guacamole.

I have been to three different superior grills and all are unique and their own way. Food and great atmosphere and good service.

Very disappointed in our meal. The Margarita and guacamole were excellent, but the food was nothing but melted cheese on a plate. I had the El Paso Plate and the tamale was so dry, it was hard to choke down. The enchiladas (chicken & cheese) were hard to identify under the huge amount of melted cheese on top of them. The Chile relleno was not a stuffed poblano pepper, just nearly a slice of one in between melted cheese. None of it even looked appetizing! Too bad. Years ago, it used to be good.....

Get the ribs but have them dry (sauce on the side). Have the key lime pie (enjoy the lime zest). Enjoy the private barrel Margarita! 2PM on a Sunday and the crowd was medium, noise level light, and with beautiful weather, the street cars glided by to make for a wonderful afternoon.

I’ve been here a dozen times and this experience was horrible. Cold food, drinks ordered that never came, and an inattentive server. They then didn’t register me as arriving through OpenTable and I didn’t get my points. I’m hoping it was a fluke but I’ve loved Superior for ages!

The drinks were a little small and the restrooms were in horrible condition for a restaurant of this calaber ( only 2 of the stalls had any toilet paper and the soap supply was minimal ).
