Sunda New Asian is an award-winning restaurant at the vanguard of America’s New Asian movement showcasing Eastern Asian and Southeast Asian regional cuisine. Simple, flavorful dishes are served and shared while a full sushi bar provides an assortment of sushi, sashimi and nigiri options. By seamlessly melding many of the cooking techniques and flavors found throughout the entirety of Asia, Sunda creates a menu that allows customers to choose the dining experience they desire. Sunda’s extensive cross-cultural Asian menu spans many cultures and price points. Our apartment in Nashville was within walking distance to Sunda. We were interested in sushi for the night. It was a great choice! Kevin our waiter was spot on with his recommendations and overall explaining how the food would come out for us. We loved everything we ordered, Crunchy Surf & Turf Roll, Red Dragon Roll, Lobster Wagyu Roll, Yellowtail jalapeno appetizer, and the Crazy Rice. I gave Kevin "50" candles for my husband's birthday to surprise him and he brought out a coconut cheesecake... which was amazing. Also our drinks were delicious too. Highly recommend. Yes it is pricey, but worth the splurge for a special occasion.

I had an appointment for 7:15. The hostess looked at me and asked me what I needed, then proceeded to see someone else who walked in after me who did not have a reservation. Once seated, we waited at least 20 minutes for drink orders and another 40 minutes before someone took our food order. The food was good, but not amazing. However, the protracted service time made it all unbearable.

Went for brunch on 5/12 and was completely underwhelmed. For 2 people charging 200 dollars is outrageous for what was offered. The restaurant was very slow which should’ve been a foreshadowing. Outside seating was an option and the inside was very dark.

Mothers Day Brunch was good - enjoyed the sushi and oysters especially. The carving station meats were average. Prime rib was overcooked. Desserts were very goo as well. Would visit again.

It was a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. There were nine of us. All of us thought the food was extremely good. I would like to try this restaurant under normal menu conditions. I think it would be amazing. The service, ambience and experience was wonderful.

We went on a stormy Wednesday night to celebrate our daughter's birthday. It was perfect. Service atmosphere and food. Felt the same as a high end restaurant in LA or NYC. Will definitely be back.
