Sunda New Asian is an award-winning restaurant at the vanguard of America’s New Asian movement showcasing Eastern Asian and Southeast Asian regional cuisine. Simple, flavorful dishes are served and shared while a full sushi bar provides an assortment of sushi, sashimi and nigiri options. Went for brunch on 5/12 and was completely underwhelmed. For 2 people charging 200 dollars is outrageous for what was offered. The restaurant was very slow which should’ve been a foreshadowing. Outside seating was an option and the inside was very dark.

Mothers Day Brunch was good - enjoyed the sushi and oysters especially. The carving station meats were average. Prime rib was overcooked. Desserts were very goo as well. Would visit again.

It was a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. There were nine of us. All of us thought the food was extremely good. I would like to try this restaurant under normal menu conditions. I think it would be amazing. The service, ambience and experience was wonderful.

We went on a stormy Wednesday night to celebrate our daughter's birthday. It was perfect. Service atmosphere and food. Felt the same as a high end restaurant in LA or NYC. Will definitely be back.

I love this place! I came alone to celebrate my birthday and it was a nice place to relax. I enjoyed the sushi and the decorations. My server took a little longer to come over, but they were very nice and may have been busy with tables.

I took my husband to Sunda for his birthday. Sunda never disappoints. Food that would be considered top notch in any of the great food cities, personal service. We always leave feeling like we've been treated to not just a meal, but an experience. The service exceeds expectations. The atmosphere is festive. And our tastebuds are dancing.

The meal was one of the best I’ve ever had.. and I’m a foodie! The steak was amazing! The ONLY negative I can say was that our waiter didn’t seem authentic. His communication seems canned, which kinda of always bothers me. I want to connect with restaurant staff… doesn’t have to be extensive but it does need to feel real!

Went here on a Saturday night. Visiting from out of town and celebrated anniversary. The service from the start was just okay not great. Wanted the signature drink but was told it wasn’t available….it was 6pm so not sure why. We got the spicy edamame, spicy tuna crunch, dragon roll and egg rolls. The only good thing was the edamame. The rest was okay but compared to other restaurants we visited the food was lacking in flavor. Wouldn’t recommend.

We started out as a table of 6, but by the time we got to the restaurant, we became a table of 9 guests. The Sunda staff was accommodating and didn't even blink an eye, even though they were busy! I kept mentioning to my colleague that our server was doing incredibly well, considering a few members of our party were a bit particular (i.e., dietary restrictions, "opinions", etc....)

I have mixed feelings about Sunda. My first visit didn't win me over 100%, but it certainly didn't completely scare me off. I'd be willing to return and try some other dishes but I felt the waitresses recommendations fell flat and I was disappointed in the food. The Oxtail Were interesting but not worth repeating. The Crispy Rice rolls were just okay. The Crab Noodles tasted good but had an animal amount of actual Crab. And the Chicken was tasty but nothing to write home about. The drinks were good and I see a lot of promise.

The food was overly salted! The sushi was the BEST! Everything else we ordered was subpar or BAD! We had the tuna and salmon sashimi which was AMAZING. Then we had the ANGRY HIRAME, which was bad. It was a beautiful presentation, but the taste was bad. The miso soup was ok. The TOM YUM SEA BASS was so salty and the veggies were cooked not well. I thought it would be cooked in the Tom Yum sauce, but it came as a separate pour over… strange! My son had the bao buns and we made the mistake of getting chicken and pork belly. Pork Belly was good, but the chicken was tough and overcooked. The server and the sushi chef/presentor made our evening much better! The service was sooooo good! Our sushi guy explained the cuts so well and was very charming. I wish I remembered our servers name because she was excellent. We will try again. Maybe it was just an off day!

The food was quite good though kind of overpriced (and I’m from Washington, DC). The service team tried bringing us the wrong dish, they forgot one of our drink orders, and the main waiter didn’t come check on our orders until it we were finished eating.

Food was delivered in waves versus all together. Was a bit awkward for family dining. Waitress was ok, however, didn’t check on needs for drink refills until after delivering bill. Per person cost was that of a 5 star restaurant. Overall experience by comparison was far less.

My husband and I love to eat at Sunda. There are two restaurants in Chicago that we frequent often. The restaurant in Nashville did not disappoint. They have a great variety of Asian fusion flavors. The service was terrific and everything we ate was delicious.

Normally service in this place is very good . Sunda is one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville and I go very often . The service yesterday was super slow , my waitress visited my table only twice and took around 35 minutes to get our drinks . Even asking for the check was an issue , it was so difficult to find her just to ask for the check, since I was tired of waiting . Again , Sunda is a fantastic restaurant , but yesterday , service really suck !

I love the brunch here, but my waffle tasted slightly freezer burnt and wasn’t crispy. It was still good but not near as good as before.

Our service set this place apart from others. Being our first time at this restaurant we asked the waiter for recommendations and he nailed it. We never had an empty glass or needed anything. Service was impeccable, just wish I could remember his name. The food was outstanding as well. Place was a little loud for my personal tastes and the ambiance was relaxed and social. We will definitely return.

Sunda is one of my favorite go to spots!! Everything on the menu is just simply delicious. I love all of the sushi options and even the non sushi options as well. My favorite is definitely the Brussels!!
