Sunda New Asian is an award-winning restaurant at the vanguard of America’s New Asian movement showcasing Eastern Asian and Southeast Asian regional cuisine. Simple, flavorful dishes are served and shared while a full sushi bar provides an assortment of sushi, sashimi and nigiri options. By seamlessly melding many of the cooking techniques and flavors found throughout the entirety of Asia, Sunda creates a menu that allows customers to choose the dining experience they desire. Sunda’s extensive cross-cultural Asian menu spans many cultures and price points. Our experience over all was just ok. We enjoyed the ambiance and service. The food was alright but it did not match the price point. The best thing we ordered was the steam buns with Korean fried chicken- the buns itself were fluffy and cooked perfectly and the meat was crispy and juicy! Would highly recommend. We also ordered the oxtail dumplings and those were pretty good. The adobo fried rice was yummy but a bit too salty and oily for our taste (and I typically like things pretty salty). The pancit was quite plain and I would not recommend.

One of the best restaurant in Nashville. Loved the asian fusion menu and fantastic service. Highly recommend!

This is the best sushi spot in Nashville. The exceptional service and talented chefs have been a steady compliment to always a great evening out. But the sushi remains exceptional.

My friend and I were visiting Nashville for the weekend and booked this spot for our last dinner! It did not disappoint — we ordered the two vegan sushi rolls and they were very tasty and filling. They also offer two of their cocktails as mocktails if you ask, and they were delicious and reasonably priced. The service and ambiance was excellent.

It took over 25 minutes for our spicy edamame to come and that was only after flagging down a manager. A bartender was our server but between him and one other bartender they had a full bar, service well and 4 tables. He was doing what he could but they should’ve had more staff. Overall, it wasn’t great for our first time visiting.
