John dory was excellent. We thought their serving sizes were extra large. It was a put off for us. Especially the dessert. Europeans eat smaller meals.

After hearing about the Summit House for more than 20 years we finally decided to give it a try to celebrate several special occasions in our family. Our party of 6 was seated promptly at a very nice table in the center of the main dining room. Our server was exceptionally pleasant and efficient as you would expect. Dinner however was good but, not great. My son-in-law’s $98 rib eye steak was kind of tough to chew. Although everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, I couldn’t help but feeling that we have has as good or better at half the price. Not sure if we’ll return or not?

Great service, Luke was great and very patient. Food was great, ordered 3 salads, escargot,seafood sampler, Castle cut and drinks.

The service by Karen was excellent she also humbled at heart ! Luis also helpful with a great attitude and smile. The food was exceptional Definitely dine in again . And Matthew the host was pleasant. I Highly recommended it for everyone well worth it.

This was another great anniversary at the Summit House. My wife and I were married here and we celebrate our anniversary here every year. They always have a card for us signed by all of the staff. It's a nice touch. We started with cocktails. I ordered a Kentucky Mule with Wistlepig Rye. My wife ordered a Moscow Mule. It was a ginger day. It would be great if they used a spicier ginger beer like Fever Tree. Our appetizer was the Artisanal Meat and Cheese platter. This consisted of Prosciutto, Salame, Brie, Cheddar, Gouda, and Goat Cheese. It came with sliced bread, fig jam (awesome), almonds, honeycomb, olives, and mustard. It's always great! For dinner, we both ordered the Queen's Cut Prime Rib, medium rare. It's served with creamed spinach and Yorkshire Pudding, which is delicious. Dinner always comes with a dish of creamed corn for the table. We received complementary profilterols for our celebration. Another nice touch. My wife ordered the dessert sampler because she likes everything on it more than the profiterols. This includes a chocolate tort, cheesecake, creme brule, and a profiterol. Thanks for another great anniversary Summit House!

Our dinning experience was great from the beginning. We didn’t need to wait too long to be seated. Our server, Luke was very attentive and professional. Our food was incredible. It was the right choice to celebrate mine and my husband’s birthday. And yes, we were both born on the same day. Thank you for a lovely birthday.

My favorite place to eat, especially for celebrations! Karen is always a delight to have as a server! She is so friendly and warm. Water was always replenished quickly and the pace of the meal was wonderful! Thank you!

This is an expensive restaurant and you have to know and accept this before you go. There were so many plusses, like great service and excellent food -- the things you're entitled to expect. So, I'll just focus on things where they fell short. First, the filet mignon, while quite excellent, was not as tender as the home-cooked center-cuts I buy from Trader Joe's. That's not to denigrate it, but remember there's a huge price difference. On the other hand, the sauces were outstanding. And I enjoyed eating 'sea beans' for the first time. Crab cakes were the best I've ever tasted. I yielded to the gentle pressure from the server to take extras like 'truffle fries' with my steak, which were totally unnecessary and left me without room for dessert. My fault, I know. But if I was to highlight one bad mark, it would have to be the car parking. OK if you pay for a valet, but a tussle if you want to do it yourself. I ended up having to park halfway down the hill and walk back up to the summit in the heat. Value for money? It was a special occasion that cost me $250 for two people (including tip) and on balance I'd do it again if the time was right. But I'd use the valet!

This was our first visit to Summit House and it did not disappoint. The service was friendly, the food was exceptional and the ambiance was nice with a live pianist. The birthday card for my husband was a nice touch.

Prime rib was not seasoned well and had some grizzle spots. The broth didn’t taste good. The filet mignon was much better. The server was very good.

The service was superb and food was delicious. Some of food may be too rich for me (buttery) but I know many ppl prefers it. I love their bone marrow Mac n cheese. The house bread is fresh and delicious too. Better than the popovers in my opinion. Beautiful dining area and outdoor space. Just a wonderful place to splurge and celebrate any occasion.

We went to celebrate a birthday and the service was excellent along with our entrees. Summit House is our go-to restaurant to celebrate special events and it's always a delicious and fun dining experience! Especially when it's Wednesday's Prime Rib Special!

As a someone who has eaten here plenty of times (and got married here), I was unaware that it was a possibility to sit in their white room, that is usually used for private parties, for regular dinners. It didn't want to make a stink about it but the ambiance was not there. The chairs are made of fake wood and the tables are folding. I felt that I was at a retirement seminar. And the medium filet minon was dry. I still plan to come here again at least once more to see if this was an "off night".

The menus was somewhat limited. The food we did order was very good. The house Margharitta was delicious. Our server was extremely helpful and attentive. It was our Anniversary and we received a Card and a complimentary dessert which was much appreciated. We had not been here for over 5 years and felt Summit House was better in prior years. Still, it was a wonderful evening.

We celebrated our anniversary and had a good time. Just the two of us and the food was good. We had a little issue with the doneness on the Prime rib, but they took care of it immediately with no fuss. The service over was great and very attentive. They also provided a complementary dessert for our anniversary. All in all a very special night and we were well taken care of. We would do it again.

My wife and I went here to celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary. As always, the food was exquisite and the service impeccable! I had the Summit House cut of prime rib and my wife had the Skuna Bay Salmon. We had no "leftovers" to take home, we ate every bite. When I booked my reservation via Open Table I simply noted it was an anniversary event. The restaurant presented us with an anniversary card signed by the entire restaurant staff. This has been our "GO TO" place to celebrate special occasions for many years now!

Its a high-priced splurge - but a wonderful place to celebrate a special event. We took my daughter for her birthday and a few friends. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Matt - our server was attentive and helpful. It was a beautiful day and we had great views of southern Orange County.

This was our first time at the Summit House and it didn't disappoint! We were celebrating my sons birthday and we were greeted with a birthday card from the restaurant. Our server, Michelle, was fantastic and answered all of our questions. The food and cocktails were so delicious and the evening was perfect. Thank you Summit House!

As usual the food and service here is beyond 5 stars it should be 10 stars. Everything was cooked to perfection. We recommend starting with the Lavender Lemon Drop. Our server Katherine was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. She recommended the special of the lamb shank. She was spot on with describing how savory it was prepared. Outstanding ambiance minus the annoying woman sitting across from us having to think it was so important to FaceTime her granddaughter. We highly recommend this place.
