Jeff Mahin et Francis Brennan,chefs et partenaires du groupe Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, apportent au Lincoln Park de Chicago, en Illinois, leur concept populaire de style californien, le Summer House Santa Monica. Les clients trouveront dans ce restaurant une ambiance conviviale et décontractée, un décor qui rappelle la Californie - celle qu'on surnomme le Golden State - et des ornements inspirés d'une maison de plage. Every Monday to Thursday from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, kids 12 and under can craft their own pizzas at the official pizza counter with our chefs for $7.95 plus tax (gratuity not included). Or opt for our tableside option, and have all the ingredients delivered to your table for the whole family to get in on the fun! Kids will wash their hands, use the flour to form the dough, spread their choice of red or white sauce, and build their zae with cheese and toppings of their choice. Once our team pops it in the oven, the pizza will be delivered back to your family’s table for an a-dough-able dinner. Please note, Kids Pizza Making is not offered during the weekend (Friday to Sunday).

Our waiter Jesse was phenomenal and gave us the best service for my friend’s birthday dinner. He had great recommendations and our food/drinks came out so fast despite a busy Friday night. The perfect girls night!

My experience was excellent. My waiter got me out in time for the show and helped with recommendations. I loved the non- alcoholic drink I had, post-watermelone. The pizza was eh, I liked the sauce and cheese but wasn't crazy about the crust. I'd probably try something else off the menu. I did get a cinnamon roll cookie that outsdanding. The ambiance was great. I wasn't in the room with the glass ceiling, but I got a nice booth and it was somewhat loud but not horrible. I was very impressed by this restaurant between the atmosphere, the service, and the drinks/food. Overall, I would recommend it. I'd say definitely make a reservation ahead of time (it was packed on a Saturday night). I'd also say it's a bit pricey but worth it for the quality of service, atmosphere, and most of the food/drinks I had outside of the pizza, which others may like.

Food was good and the bartender helpful. We sat at the bar because the main dining room was way too noisy to carry on a conversation.

Great Service and Atmosphere. Many families were there with small children. The prices are resonable. I recommend making a reservation does get crowed on the weekends. If you want to go on Fridays make a reservation early. They do have Valet parking.

Always wonderful! We eat here a lot and everything is delicious. Don't forget to stop at the bakery counter on your way out - best cookies in the city!!!!!

Food was great and atmosphere was great. Although our service was not good. We didn’t have someone come to our table for 20 minutes, host took our drink order finally, then, the server barely spoke to us or came over throughout our dining experience and he was super inattentive and we had a hard time getting him to come over and take our order. It wasn’t super busy which is strange. I have been in the past and service was good but this time it was very disappointing.

Griffin was a great waiter and all of the staff was friendly. I appreciated the service and it was really nice to receive a rose for Mother’s Day.

The place was beautiful, however, the service was horrible. After waiting for over 30 minutes for our food, four out of the five plates of food that we ordered were cold. After complaining to the waitress they removed the food, apologized, offered to remake it, and assured us that it would be hot. The second round of dishes was warm but not hot. I was very disappointed, but was even more disappointed that they never offered any sort of compensation for our inconvenience. I had to request it.

Overall, great experience dining here! The restaurant is beautiful, and the food and drinks are delicious. One of the waiters accidentally spilled a tray of drinks on a member of my party, but they were extremely accommodating and more than made up for it in credits to our final check. A stand-up establishment, and a reliably great place to bring a party of friends or family. 10/10 recommend.

It took a very long time for our food to be delivered. We ordered two appetizers then our entrees and one appetizer came out while the other one took at least another ten minutes, meanwhile after ordering our entrees we still waited 45 minutes for our food to come! Didn’t seem crazy busy but yet the service was slow.

Super beautiful on a sunny day! The salad was mediocre but the place is more known for their Mexican fusion brunch foods. I love that they serve La colombe coffee!

We tried the seasonal pistachio carbonara and the spicy salumi and burrata pizza. The sauce for the carbonara was pretty watery. The pizza crust was also quite soggy. Service was excellent.

Really excited to find this place. As a person who needs to be Gluten free, they were very accommodating and helpful. The food was fantastic. The server was really helpful, but was also very busy, so didn't get to our table as frequently as we usually encounter. Definitely going back

I came here for brunch with my husband looking forward to the southern Californian style. The decoration and ambiance definitely reminded us of Santa Monica, very bright and summery. However, the food was very underwhelming. We ordered the avocado toast and the breakfast burrito. For nearly $20 we paid for a very simple nothing special avocado toast (could have made it better at home).

We had to wait 30 minutes even with our reservation, meaning the restaurant definitely took too many early walk ins. Was also out of a type of gin and one of the specials, which was disappointing.

Loved the summer house! The food was fantastic and the space is like eating in an atrium, so pretty! Make sure you grab some cookies on your way out, those were great treats to bring home! Only problem is it’s a bit loud.

First and probably last time dining at The Summer House. It was just nothing special. Two family members ordered breakfast hash (one vegetarian). Tiny potatoes, chunks and way too many chunks of CELERY. The vegetarian couldn’t even finish her hash it was so unappetizing. Fake plants everywhere. Had to wait forever to be served. Way too pricey for subpar food. Who are the people that left rave reviews?? Puzzling.

Went before play at the Steppenwolf Theater as it is an easy walk/park once. Lovely restaurant, especially in the atrium and in/out on a nice day/night. Good menu with options for those watching calories. Very good service and we were in and out in 75 mins with no issues.

I brought my friend in for a birthday lunch. They gave us a table in the bar next to the service station. The server said nothing about my friend’s birthday which was noted on the reservation. I didn’t want to complain at the time but it was disappointing for his special day.
