The light fixtures were fancy but so dusty that we worried we would get a huge clump of dust in our food. The food was good, but even though the restaurant was almost empty (1630 dinner), our server was hard to find.

Food and ambience were good, but service was very, very slow and disorganized. We had a 5:30 pm reservation and barely made it to a 7:30 pm show at the PAC.

Service improved dramatically since the last time we were there, had actually avoided eating here for a couple years it was so bad last time. Food was solid as always, although I’d bet they actually gave me the small filet rather than the large based on the small size. Live band was too loud for the space, made conversation difficult when they were playing. Server insisted we cut into the steak to verify it. A steakhouse that purports to be of this quality and charges this much should have confidence in its work, made me feel like we were eating at Applebees. Cheesy. I’m emphasizing the bad parts a little here, was overall not a bad time at all, just room for improvement.

Went for our son’s graduation from UAA, the dinner took over 3 hours as the service was extremely slow, nothing came out at the same time and a couple steaks had to go back because of being undercooked. Was told there was only one person making salads and desserts which makes sense as it took over 30 minutes to get both, with as much as our bill was $900, it was disappointing

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and amazing service. From beginning to end my boyfriend and I were in “awe”. Couldn’t have asked for better place to celebrate his birthday. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS and the drinks were so extraordinary we couldn’t believe our tastebuds. Thank you for making his birthday so much more special. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The steak was very chewy and had a lot of tendons. Also the side dishes didn't look appealing and reminded me of Texas Roadhouse.

My wife and I have found the place we want to celebrate our important dates in our lives. The food was exceptional starting with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and continuing through the wedge salad, lobster bisque and steak entrees with an ending of peanut butter cake. The portions of salad, soup, and egg rolls are large enough to share and we brought home large portions of our steaks. It is not inexpensive but the service and taste are unmatched in Anchorage.

It is clear that Sullivan's has adopted a DEI initiative, as indicated by the lack of professionalism of the greeter and one of the workers who brought our food. The greeter did not smile when I approached her and unenthusiastically led us to our table. I struggled to take off my coat but she offered no help whatsoever. Our server was very friendly and professional, just the opposite of the greeter. We placed our order and the salads arrived first. But, before we had finished our salads, the main courses arrived - much too soon. Two different people brought the food, one was professional and one was not. The latter simply plopped the plates down on the table and made no effort to place them where we could actually reach them. She offered no smile and did not ask if we needed anything else. When I go to a restaurant to have an expensive meal, I expect top-most professionalism and service. Again, our server was very professional and friendly. The others we encountered were not. Sullivan's need to either train their workers or, if the hire workers who claim to already be trained, they need to get rid of them when they fail to do their job properly. One last comment, we were seated next to the private room on the north side of the restaurant. When the large group showed up, it got very noisy. We could not talk to each other. We should have been warned about the large party and seated somewhere else. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived, so seating us away from the large party would have been simple.

My boyfriend and I came in for dinner on 2/24 and unfortunately, the food fell short of our expectations. While the service was great, the quality of the food overshadowed all the positive aspects and It was disappointing to leave the restaurant feeling unsatisfied. However, we decided to give it another chance, as I have previously always had superb service and food over the years. On 3/8/2024 we had the pleasure of dining at Sullivan’s Steakhouse again, and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish and everything we expected it should have been on our previous visit. Veronica, our server for the evening, was an absolute delight. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she provided excellent recommendations that suited our taste perfectly. Her attentive service and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience. I also had the pleasure of speaking Joanna, the general manager at Sullivan’s Steakhouse. She ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the evening and took the time to check in on our table, ensuring that we were well taken care of. Her dedication to providing excellent service was evident and greatly appreciated. The best part of course, was the food. The steaks were top-notch - cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The side dishes were also delicious and complemented the main course beautifully. The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a special evening out. The attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience was amazing. Overall, I cannot recommend Sullivan’s Steakhouse enough. From the impeccable service provided by Veronica to the outstanding quality of the food and the exceptional management by Joanna, every aspect of my dining experience was five stars. I will definitely be returning soon and look forward to creating more wonderful memories at Sullivan’s Steakhouse.

1) Both steak’s were undercooked when medium was requested. They were very rare. 2) Took way too long for our food to arrive and we had to repeatedly request steak knives and inquire where the sides were after receiving the steaks. 3) Our waiter left our drinks empty, very slow returning to my table, and seemed disengaged with his role. 4) Other wait staff would randomly bring other tables orders to my table. Why? Do better. My bill was ~$220 and the service was horrible.

There were 5 of us dining for a business dinner and 4 entrees were delivered and we waited 15 minutes for the 5th one. Very uncomfortable for our clients because no one wanted to start eating until the 5th one arrived and their food was cold. The waiter made no adjustment and given we were dining with clients I did not made a big deal about it. Not impressed.

We loved it. The staff were polite and helpful. The food was delicious. They were busy because of it being Valentine’s Day weekend but they handled it very well.

The restaurant was running 45 minutes behind on reservations. We didn’t have enough time to eat one we were seated, so were forced to leave so we didn’t miss our show at the Atwood center. Won’t bother again since Sullivan’s can’t manage reservations.

I read a lot of mixed reviews about this place. Well we got a gift card so we decided to have a nice date night out at Sullivans. Well I am impressed! We had quick service on a Friday night at 5:30pm. This was with a reservation and right before the place got super busy!! The staff were all working hard and we got our food all in a timely fashion. We spent about hour and a half there. The live music is loud but it’s live! I enjoyed it! It is like having lively elevator music in your background. There is a large bar area and a good size dining area. We sat in the dining area, the bar is not our scene! We had Beef Wellington Bites and Sweet and Sour Cauliflower were delicious heaven sent!! I kept my plate light and got the steakhouse salad with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The cook on the steak was over. I asked for medium (which was a mistake) I got medium well to well done really…it was still good to eat. I could not get myself to order $72-79 dollar steak. Again we were there because of a gift card I would not go here because it is beyond what I will pay for food. If you want fancy dining, THIS IS IT for Anchorage! With that said go here if that is your thing! You will like it! We used the parking garage and walked the sky bridge! It’s the way to go!!

To start the food and the establishment was wonderful I loved everything I had there, minus the new chocolate bliss desert, that was bland and sad:( All my other food was cooked to perfection! My husband and I venture out for food and MAINLY service, I can cook and my husband is a trained chef so we eat very tasty food at home. So this review is mainly regarding our server. Our server named John, well he is called by our table several times before he even stopped to greet us, mind you there were only 4 tables with patrons so it was not because he was swamped. He was horrible to say the least he had very little interest in serving anyone. The table sat next us, became occupied after we had been sat about 20minutes had a young female serving who introduced herself weighing minutes offered signature drinks and all the specials that were not on the menu and promptly returned to continue her full and amazing service. I was filled with jealousy and disappointment as I would have actually preferred one of the specials offered and honestly I wanted the young woman server who obviously loves her job and the people She served. John our server offered none of this and only returned to our table 2 times. I feel for the quality of food and the price service should be provided. I will be back however I will never sit in John’s section and I warn all those that he is not a full service server. I would share it was our anniversary something I shared and also no mention of the special moment by the server. If the server had offered me a comment card I would have filled out for him. Overall server John should get zero stars and move onto a career that does not include working with the public.

A wonderful experience with knowledgeable waiters and accommodating staff. Food was incredible as well.

We had a great evening at Sullivan's Steakhouse. The food was amazing: Between the two of us we had the caesar salad and wedge salad, cheese steak egg rolls, lobster bisque, filet medallions, seared ahi, lobster mac and cheese, and topped off with the peanut butter pie. It was a lot of food but we took home the leftovers for a second dinner. The sides will be enough for 3 to 4 people and the salads are big enough to share between 2 people. The service was great, we went early (4:30) and we had the restaurant to ourselves for the most part. We also found out that the later you go the better chance that some things will drop off the menu do to demand and consumption.

Sullivans has decent food and drinks. Where they go wrong is charging easily twice what a restaurant of this caliber should, and that is why they regularly get poor reviews. Service was spotty, and drinks were wildly variable depending on the bar tender. We had a couple of appetizers, two drinks each and a salad that came to $150 for two. The salads were of the chop yourself variety (wedge and a cesar with entire leaves of romaine). Saves kitchen staff a lot of time I’m sure.
