This was a horrible experience. I waited 30 mins for water. The waiter forgot half of what we wanted. They were out of most items that we ordered (a party of 4), Food all tasted the same. The best part was the entertainment.

Really enjoyed the food and music. We like to dance and I suggest a dance area bv the stage would really be nice.

The food was very good! Ambience was nice. Live music! The staff were very welcoming, and I like that you can seat yourself! Will visit again!

This place had the best fried fish I have had in a long time. Love the live band and the ambiance. This is definitely going to be our new favorite spot!!!!

We went out of our way and comfort zone to experience something difference and Sugar's didn't disappoint. We are looking for a cozy spot with live music, good food and great drinks. Sugar's delivered just that!

We had a blast the place was great. The food was awesome and so delicious. The staff was so polite Jibin and Laura were the perfect wait staff. They made some great suggestions from the menu. Everyone of their suggestions were spot on. We were able to meet Chef David and compliment his great food. I will come back again. M. Sanders Fresno TX

Everything was good except they where out of everything that we tried to order.The magarita machines were not working, they did not have certain items on the menu which limited us either order something we did not want. However, our waiter was well mannered and quite helpful the was good very nice and clean but i would eat or drink before i come to socialize because they may not have anything.

Never did get my wine which was ordered at the bar before having to wait a long period of time to be seated. People were serving in jackets and hats and they ran out of food. The Boudin balls were horrible, although the etouffee and fried catfish were excellent.

First time there, and food was delicious. We had a very experienced waiter, who was a gem with custoner aervice, and trying to always please us and make us happy We are defi utely going back and v b.c. bringing friends

Wait staff need training..to many things to mention. Red beans were scorched. Gumbo simply taste like tobacco sauce. French 75 champagne martini was warm. Fried shrimp had cornmeal only. No seasoning.

I was not pleased at all with the food. The gumbo was very bland, same for the red beans and rice and watery. The chef put chives on everything and I don’t even eat chives. Tried the crab cakes and the had big hard onions in them. I tried it but will not be going back.

Upon arrival my guest and I were greeted and seated. Our waiter Christian was professional and was willing to answer any and all questions. The food was delicious. It was my first time dining there and I will be back ! Thank you Sugar’s Cuisine

The service was great, restaurant well maintained, food excellent. Gumbo had everything..very flavorful, salad fresh, crab cakes tasty, but cooked little too long, fish/red beans/rice good and BREAD Pudding was soooooooo good (with raisins)...like my Mom made. I will be back and recommend this restaurant.

We tried to make a reservations for 6 on Saturday evening and the only available time on open table was 4:45. We got there on time and the staff was not even ready for service. There were no other patrons there. In fact, the place was still 50% empty when we left at 9:30. The music was supposed to start at 8:00 and it did not start until 9:20. Our young waiter was not particularly experienced or attentive, and just needs some time and coaching. The food was pretty good. The wine list was not impressive at all. The manager was very accommodating and we believe over time it will improve. We will give it another chance.

My husband and I found Sugar’s for a date night. We drove one hour to get to this place which was not a problem since we enjoy going out. The atmosphere and ambiance was smooth, romantic, and welcoming. Our server, Shay was attentive to our needs and the band starring James Dean was phenomenal. But the food was terrible. We ordered crab cakes which tasted like salmon crochet. We enjoy salmon, but don’t pass off salmon for crab. The two taste nothing alike. We both ordered gumbo. The gumbo roux was scorched and the crackers served with the gumbo were stale. And to top it all off the bread pudding was dry and hard. We are considering trying Sugar’s one more time in the distant future, just to see if the chef improves on his/her skills.

It was official grand opening, made reservations on line. Got there was told no reservations were being taken. We were accomadated by being seated at the bar. The speciality drink "sugarcane" that was advertised on the website was not available by 7:15 pm. Food was great but the drink prices are excessive, 13 dollars for a daiquiri in a hurricane glass. Suggestion check other local establishments to do price comparison on drinks.

The food was not very good (we ordered sides only) but the management was responsive and we didn't have to pay for what we sent back. The cover charge wasn't bad for a live band at $20 per premium seat. However the band was not used to playing together and that was obvious. We left halfway through the set; their break was 30 minutes!!! $20 per premium seat is too much to pay for a band that doesn't have their sound tight; they were not organized musically.

The macaroni and cheese with crawfish was excellent. The jazz group was very entertaining and the service was great. It seems that the Riesling and Moscato are very popular wines and I was disappointed that I missed out.
