Nestled in a cozy, shaded outdoor courtyard, it's the perfect spot for casual tea under the Cali sun, with limited indoor seating for a more intimate vibe. Variety of scones, from classic strawberry buttermilk to unique Cali-inspired flavors like fig rosemary, all perfectly crunchy outside and moist inside. Elevate your tea experience with our handcrafted teas, delightful tea sandwiches, and house-made jams. Please note, we need 36 hours advance notice for special dietary requests for wheat-free, vegan, or kids menu, 10 & under. 18% gratuity is auto-included on the bill & parties of 6 or more will have a 20% charge.

                        It is a very quaint little cafe. My Mom and I enjoyed our time very much. Everything we ate was good and there was a nice variety to choose from. It was a sweet way to spend Mother's Day. We would go again.

                        What a beautiful experience to have in celebrating my birthday with a girlfriend. We were giddy with the amount of cuteness that exuded from the tea house. I can’t wait to go back and take my mom! It’s everything you would want from a high tea and more!

                        Loved the cosy atmosphere of this tiny tea room ( two tables inside) but with more seating outside under umbrellas. The scones were imaginative and delicious as was the special chai tea served that day. The staff was kind and attentive.

                        I was expecting an afternoon tea with my granddaughter. The pictures on the website are misleading. This is more of a walk-in baker with two very small tables infront of the counter, right next to the door, which can seat a maximu of 4. The food was barely tolerable. The bread was stale. I had tried to pre-order some child-friendly sandwhiches (through an email that they had sent me the day before, confirming) for my 5-year-old granddaughter. When we got there, they only had adult sandwiches. There was one turkey sandwich that she liked but it had arugala greens on it and I asked if they could remove it? They said, "No" that the sandwiches came pre-made. So I had to remove it. It was just an very unpleasant and unexpected experience for $99 dollars for two people. I would like a refund, but doubt that's going to happen.

                        A bit expensive for what it is, but that may be reflective of the area. Scones were good with a wide selection, but the rest of the food was average. Service was slow - after waiting 20 minutes after finishing our food and tea, I had to go inside and ask for a check.

                        Cute outdoor cafe with delicious scones and tea. My party had a variety of flavors and everyone enjoyed their choices. My favorites are the matcha white chocolate , ube coconut and chocolate chip. The options for vegetarian sandwiches and vegan/gluten free scones were yummy and appreciated.

                        absolutely had a fantastic time at this tea place!! came with the girlies for a spot of tea and some sizzling hot gossip! jkjk haha but we had so much fun munching sipping and chatting. decor is insanely cute/pretty. we got lucky with the most perfect weather (note: it is outdoor seating only). im a bit of a tea snob so tea was just okay for me, nothing horrible but nothing amazing either. BUT OMG THOSE SCONES. the feta + chives scone and fig + rosemary scones. OMG. soooooo delicious. all the food was excellent. overall, i highly recommend. p.s. make sure to specific any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to the day you visit and preferably specify it in the notes when you are booking via opentable. i’m vegetarian but i didn’t specify it and there was a turkey sandwich as part of the tea service. i just traded a sandwich with my friend, so it was okay but it seems they only buy exactly what’s necessary for the day. So if you and your friend are both vegetarian and forget to specify, they may not be able to make you two new vegetarian sandwiches. so make sure to alert them prior to the day you visit so they can make the necessary adjustments to your tea service. also, they run out of some items so be aware of that. we got everything we wanted but when we were ordering, the lady said they had already run out of some items, and our reservation was at 11:30am.

                        I had high expectations but unfortunately, they are not kid friendly and the food didn’t taste fresh at all. The waitresses were nice though we were sat outside they gave us blankets because it was so cold ( and I have a toddler). We asked if we could sit inside but they said they had a reservation which never showed up. The place is a small bakery so the tables are mostly outside and they will tell you that too. It was $38/ea and $10 for Glendale tax. They did have a nice selection of tea but the food ( sandwiches+ scones + dessert) was very mediocre and unpleasant.

                        Lovely cafe to enjoy brunch or afternoon tea. Service was impeccable, the food (especially the scones) were delectable, and the decor and outdoor dining space were adorable. Yes the tables are right along the street in a dirt patch and there’s cars all around you, but that’s part of its rustic charm!

                        Hands down the best scones I’ve ever had. Many varieties including seasonal options on rotation. You definitely need to try to guava scone. The best. The afternoon tea service is also tasty and lovely. You get to choose two mini scones and also get 4 tea sandwiches including a stellar Japanese crème sandwich. Assorted dessert as well, all delicious. And the tea varieties are all yummy as well. Everyone gets their own Clotted cream and strawberry jam, which is amazing that you don’t have to share! Highly recommend. Wish I could go here every day.

                        We had the sweetest server! She offered us blankets outside since it was a little chilly. My mother and I enjoyed all the food! I had the wheat-free sandos and scones (bottom tier in picture), and my mother had the regular spread (top tier spread). I initially wanted to try this place for my baby shower, but am looking forward to coming back for fun!

                        I have been here 3 times for tea and scones. I have done many tea experiences over the years and yes this is more casual than the others but truly this one tastes the best. I would rather spend my money here for the food I’m going to enjoy eating. I also love the tea cups and pots. My family and friends will continue to come here for years to come for all our birthday celebrations or when we are craving scones. I am so glad we found this place!

                        I have been to this place twice. I had a bad customer experience the first time but thought to give it another chance. I had same bad experience this time around. Staff in front are not pleasant and disrespectful. Impatient and rush you at the counter even when not busy. We did not mind the high price for the tea and food. We were there for the experience. Very disappointed.

                        Charming little spot in Montrose. The owner and the staff are lovely. Tea and scones were good. Even took some frozen ones to bake later. They were delicious. There’s a single table inside and a several outside. We sat outside even though it was a chilly day. All in all a really nice place for an afternoon tea with a friend.

                        This is a lovely cafe with delicious scones, tea and REAL clotted cream. And they don't skimp on that which I appreciate. The outdoor seating is lovely and pretty, with gorgeous sun umbrellas, beautiful cups, saucers and teapots and trays. The black sesame scone and jalapeno scone were my fave. I would love it if they had a plain scone as an option, especially to go with the sweet jam and cream.

                        This is a charming afternoon tea spot in Montrose! More people need to come here and give them business. My friend and I had the tea service with sandwiches (gluten-free for me and regular for her). I had the vegan and gluten-free blueberry ginger and coconut passion fruit scones and they were amazingly delicious! All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating and you can prepay when you reserve on open table so all you need to do is come by and enjoy!

                        I took my two granddaughters to Sugarbird (age 13 & 9) for the 9 year old's birthday treat. We had done teas at my house in the past & I wanted to have them see what a real tea was like. The food was good & I liked that you could have hot or iced tea as the weather was very warm. The staff was very nice & even brought a birthday scone to the table for my grandaughter. My only complaint is that the seating is outdoors & there is a busy street nearby & so there was moderate traffic noise. All in all a fun time was had by us all!
