Absolutely terrible experience ruined Mother’s Day service was non existent wait for 1 .5 hour and still no food we walked out bathrooms we’re disgusting a lady fell slipped on the wet floor no one Acknowledged her my husband got up and helped her up when he told an employee what happened they said ok as no big deal and went on they get 0 stars I will make sure every single person I know hears how bad the experience was

Had reservations at 4:30 finally got sat at 5:35 not one person came up to our table to ask us for drinks or brought us water at all at 6:30 got up and walked out the most disrespectful manager host I’ve ever met in my life The hostess hates her job. She shouldn’t work there. The manager is horrible at her job.

First time customers with a reservation for 1:30p on MOTHER’S DAY (Sun 5.12.24) for 3 people. Checked in around 1:20p and it was obvious the staff was busy and a bit overwhelmed, as a few parties (including ours) had to nudge the hostess about seating us. Seated at 1:35p, which was totally fine. I overheard two employees cursing and complaining about not having help, which was super unprofessional. We then sat for 20 minutes without any acknowledgment from any staff (same for the other 2 parties that were sat near us). I flagged down what turned out to be the manager and informed her of our wait and asked what we could expect for timing on food delivery, etc., as I had my 82 year old mother and 2 year old son with me. Both of them require some general estimation of timing with food, for obvious reasons. She advised that they had no one to buss tables and she had paused seating, while they try to catch up. She advised that a waiter would be with us shortly. 5 minutes later, a waiter brought out waters for all parties, but nothing else was said. We then waited another 20 minutes and a waiter came to the table without any greeting or apology and simply said, “Do you know what you want to order?” At this point, I was over the entire experience. The manager was nearby, so I flagged her down again and explained how the waiter greeted us. No apology was received, only excuses and justifications. I then told her that she mislead me earlier, when she suggested someone would be by to take our order shortly, but that was 25 minutes prior (not my definition of “shortly”). This was met with a flippant apology and more excuses. I also told her I overheard her instruct a waiter to offer another party a free drink for the wait. However, none of this was offered to our table. She said she was going to offer that to us too, she is now incredibly defensive. Staffing issues and rushes happen - how you communicate to the patrons should never be impacted… and two MOTHERS on MOTHER’S DAY.

Worst experience I’ve had at an establishment in my entire life. Took over an hour to be seated. Over an hour to receive water. Over an hour to receive food. Appetizers came after we received our food. Food was sub mid. Prices are astronomical. This was my first and only time visiting. Do not recommend

Service was horrible. Our reservation was at 12:30, however my party wasn’t seated until 1:30. The waitress offered us plastic utensils because the regular dining ware wasn’t clean. We ordered drinks and food that never came. We waited patiently until 3:00 with no sense of urgency from any of the staff members including the manager. My party decided to finally leave. We did not receive an apology from anyone. I would not recommend dining here. The food is over priced and the service is unacceptable. The staff members are unprofessional and they spoke to their customers disrespectfully. Very distasteful place. Do not dine at the Sugar Factory.

If u want the terrible experience explained. Will do it. But horrible service, they don’t care, they automatically get 20% gratuity no matter how the service is, dishes and tables not cleaned properly (there was food on both the table and knives) . Waited two hours for our food, but to still be charged $99 for terrible service and experience. Especially with it being my mother’s first time. On Mother’s Day.

The WORST experience. I don’t think I will ever be back. The drinks we ordered came after our meal had finished!! 1.5 hours later! Our apps and entrees came out at the same time. Our server forgot to get back to us on an item on the menu- so my husband had to wait another 25 mins for his order. The bathrooms were dirty. There was nothing pleasant about this experience. Other tables were clearly upset as well. Food was decent, but not worth the money.

Server Greg was ill-prepared. 1st attempt of bringing our goblets, he brought the wrong drinks. Main dishes came incomplete. Hot honey chicken was missing whipped butter. When Greg was asked to correct this, he brought out melted butter...ugh! The other meal was supposed to be a Monte Christo with fresh berries and potatoes. We received none. When asked the server where the rest was, he brought out jelly packs instead of fresh berries. The sandwixh was also prepared missing the turkey.Although the taste of the food was good. The service totally sucked!

I was not expecting to spend $83 on 3 hot cocoas, a margarita and a chip and guacamole. I was okay with $40-60 but $83 I feel ripped off the pink unicorn cocoa tasted like pink dye and milk. The Watermelon Margarita was small and I have a better time at Applebees.

Really disappointed. Tbh, I would be shocked if it is open in a year. Went to Sugar Factory in Vegas and it was an awesome experience. So when it came to Detroit, i was excited to bring friends and show them what i have been bragging about for years. I'm from Canada, so it is not every day we can make it over to Detroit. We made reservations in late 2023, showed up on a Saturday night and the place was completely closed due to a flood that happened a couple of days prior. They didn't bother telling us and we wasted our whole evening. This should have been a sign. Fast forward to last night. Brought family and friends and the first thing that caught my attention was the extremely loud rap music. To the point it was piercing my ears. Louder than any night club I've ever been to. And then they were out of 3 items, so we have to spend 10 minutes findng drinks that were actually in stock. We ordered our food and apps, and our apps came 10 minutes after our food arrived. Food was mediocre at best. Not like it was in Vegas. We originally planned staying a couple of hours, but when we got there, we couldn't wait to get out. Not the type to post reviews, but the conclusion to our experience is what motivated me to be on here. We got the bill and a mandatory tip of 20% for the service was on there. We asked our waiter about it and said it was for the service staff and insinuated if we wanted to tip him it would be another separate charge. What he failed to mention was he was part of the service staff and that the service staff pooled their tips. In other words he was trying to get a double tip out of us.

Music was RIDICULOUSLY loud! We couldn’t hear ourselves talk! The place was absolutely filthy. Our table was not wiped down at all and the menus were sticky. When we finally had someone take out order the food took 45 mins for the first plate and an additional 15 for the second item we ordered. It’s a shame because we were so looking forward to taking my 7yo. Will never go there again. Ever.

Went for daughters birthday. She started not feeling well. She put her head down for a moment and the staff accused her of being drunk at 15 and asked us to leave. Come to find out her blood sugar dropped. Called and left messages for manager to call and never heard back. The bill was 200 dollars and we only was served drinks.

I was very disappointed in this experience. Our party was not served at the same time which made for a very uncomfortable experience as one person waited the entire visit to receive their order after having to reorder twice. We were told the option was not available and then suddenly it was available. We ordered filet mignon and were provided with sirloin instead but ate it due to the extreme delay. We also had to reorder drinks multiple times because our choices were not available and the quality of what we did receive was poor. We were not provided with silverware and were offered plasticware as a substitute. It was far too loud to even have any kind of conversation and the overall experience was extremely disappointing. In addition, they included a mandatory gratuity on the bill. I will never go back and it was not at all worth the money. McDonald's is a much better value.

At first experience wasn’t all that until Ashley Williams came along and made sure that me and my guest was very satisfied and went over and beyond her way to make sure that we was happy personally I will give Ashley a raise. I am so hoping for you guys to succeed, the location, build, and concept are great! You really just need someone that's got experience in the fine dining space to sort some things out. If you are going to have $250 checks, you need a better level of execution and cleaning.. stuff like your unreadable menu, pare it down. Clean the bathroom, fix the broken lights, order buns daily so they aren't stale when serving $30 signature apps, deliver all the items ordered so you don't lose $60 on 5 person check to food that doesn't arrive. Plastic cups.. please no. And no rubber duck for the kids... all a bummer. Keep the vibe, energy and noise level, all of that is good and unique and feels very new and exciting, but get your restaurant basics in order. I imagine there's not much time left before you burn out your good will. I think you have a good idea, and a decent crowd on a Thursday means you have some time to save it, please do, if I see your reviews turning around I'll give ya another shot, but not until then.

They were sweet for the moment we came in very attentive. Food came up in a manageable time and service was overall great. Chicken and waffles most definitely recommend.

The food was good, the drinks were great, our waitress had awesome energy and was very patient which is awesome because she was very busy. Good music, good vibes, great energy. The staff brung it when it came to celebrating birthdays with people. My 3rd time going to the one in Detroit and this was our best time!

Our host Onas (I think) was SO AMAZING. Treated everyone fairly and equally and kept the same energy with every table he hosted. He was super fun. The music was very loud, something to keep in mind for people with sensory issues. Food was great. Everything was clean. Everything was amazing. Made my finances birthday fantastic.

The burger was completely covered in cheese and disgusting, basically un-eatable. It would have been nice if the server would have told me that before I ordered it. Way over priced too. $28 for a burger that has 2 thin smashed patties and completely covered in cheese, all over the top bun. The milkshake was good but the glass was almost half full of just whipping cream. $120 for a burger with fries, quesadilla, pulled pork nacho fries and a milkshake. Way over priced in my opinion especially for the quality of the food.

The music was so loud my family couldn’t even carry out a conversation. We were sat for our reservation somewhat quickly and our hostess was really friendly, but then we waited 25 minutes and no server ever came to our table, so we left. Pretty bummed because we made these reservations for my daughters birthday :(

TERRIBLE service. Immature staff, do not care about most of their patrons. Too worried about "turning it up!", screaming and partying at 5pm vs. taking orders from us after sitting there for literally 42 minutes. Tables around us were also being ignored. Absolutely ridiculous. I let the manager know we were going to leave out of frustration and they pretty much showed us the door.

The ambience was really good, I do appreciate how they accommodated changing our seats. However, there was a waitress that did not want to take us, and I saw the waitresses talking about us. I do appreciate the waiter that did take us ! I don’t appreciate the waiter telling us they no longer had the food item we wanted 30 minutes later after we all ordered our food. it took an additional 15-20 minutes for us to get our food!! Unfortunately, my family is generous and not only did he get a regular tip on the bill (because he secretly included it) but they also gave him additional cash. I personally will not be back or recommend!

My food was not good. My waffles were almost burnt and the pancakes tasted like cornbread. My 5yr old didn’t eat them so it was a waste of money. The only good thing was the chicken.

Server was AWESOME Ambiance was AWESOME Food was AWESOME Price WAY TOO HIGH Also, customers should be able to choose what item they want to purchase in order to have staff come out and do the birthday dance instead of only a huge bowl of ice cream. $60-100 is way too much money to be paying for just ice cream. I think customers should be given another option to just pay extra for staff to come perform a birthday dance versus being obligated to pay two different prices just for ice creay. Not everyone is lactose tolerant.

Macaroni balls tasted like plastic, water was tap. Fish and chicken fried in same oil, (yuck) 40 automatic tip for service that didn’t meet expectations at all. 4 out of 10

We went today for my daughter’s 6th birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter Evan was excellent, the vibe was perfect and the food came fast and tasted great. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself.

We had a reservation at the restaurant. When we arrived we waited for a few to even be acknowledged. When we finally made it to the table it took 20 minutes before anyone came to help us. The bathrooms were so filthy that the girls refused to use them. I would not recommend this place to anyone
