Sugar Factory American Brasserie is bringing something SWEET to Chicago’s famed River North area, just off the mag mile. Created by a team of world-class chefs, the menu selections include everything from pancakes and sweet and savory crepes to salads, burgers, steaks and shakes, all available throughout the day. This celebrity favorite is sure to satisfy any sweet-tooth craving. Signature treats include famous Couture Pops, Smoking Goblet Cocktails, Candy-Infused Martinis, and the one-and-only King Kong Sundae. Please dine with us and let Sugar Factory deliver an unforgettable guest experience.

A 20% Service Fee will be added to every check. This goes to the service staff, and no extra tip is expected. Also please beware that we have limited booth seating, there is no guarantee that you will be sat at a booth.

We will have special holiday hours December 20th to Jan 2nd. We will open everyday at Noon and close at 11pm. Last seating is at 9:45pm.

We arrived 15 minutes early for a 6:00 pm reservation at River North location to celebrate my daughter’s 14th birthday on 5/28/24.We had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seated because the greeter said they only had two servers on staff. Fast service once we were seated. The food was bland with no seasonings tasted. Friendly server. I had a much better experience during my first visit.

Not sure what happened here, but we were one of The few tables only there. The food came out within 10 minutes and was cooked very poorly. They have a 20% service fee and tip on top of that. What happened to this place? Wish you all the best, but will not be going back again.

The experience was underwhelming and disappointing. From the hostesses to the wait staff, it felt like no one wanted to be there. Service lacked energy, a going through the motions feeling. Restaurant was rundown and felt dirty. Food was just ok. Nothing special. Desserts are extreme but after food service we just wanted to leave. Tip is already included on the bill at 20% which is way more than this service was entitled too. Would not recommend eating here.

We arrived for our 5pm reservation and the restaurant was nearly empty. Despite all the empty tables, they attempted to seat our party of 7 adults and 2 children at a booth made for 6. We requested a different table and they moved us to a long narrow table that was a tight 8, but better than the booth. The waiter arrived literally a minute later and wanted our complete order—-drinks,apps and dinner. We weren’t ready so he left and came back 3 mins later. We wanted to enjoy some of their special ($40) drinks with appetizers first, but the waiter insisted on getting our entire order all at once. BTW- no kids menu at a place called the Sugar Factory is a little weird. Kids at nearly every table, but it was early in the evening, so maybe a different crowd later in the evening?? Our appetizers and meals came out at the same time, and some of our drinks arrived 1/2 way through the meal. The entire experience was over in 40 minutes. We didn’t bother with dessert due to the poor service. It appeared this was their normal service as other tables around us were treated the same way. Th bill had an 18% gratuity “ for the house”, implying that we needed to tip more to our server. I will tip 30-40% for good service, but really thought 18% was too much for the rude and rushed experience. The food was really good, but definitely didn’t live up to the hype or the price.

Our reservation didn’t show up in their system but they searched it a different way and found it. This is a fun place to eat and is great for families, kids and adults. Would be fun for bachelorette or birthday party. The food was good. Menu has a large variety. Juliane, our server (sorry for spelling) was sweet.

We had a great time at the Sugar Factory downtown Chicago. The ambiance was nice and we celebrated both my 16 year old son bday and my others sons high school graduation.

The food was not the best. I recommend only getting something simple. The drinks were great though so we enjoyed ourselves overall!
