Strip House Speakeasy is located in the space next to the original Strip House in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village. Set in glamorous backdrop of the Roaring Twenties & Prohibition Era, 11 East 12th Street was one of the thousands of illegal speakeasies supplying NYC with Libations & Liberation. Its hidden connection to the room above - 13 East 12th Street - helped spark its success for when officers arrived with a search warrant in hand, they were only able to gain entrance to the physical address listed - ‘13 East’...not ‘11’.

Great spot, amazing steaks. Great drink scene. Wine list is great, although very pricy. Perhaps some additional lower end solutions. Merry Christmas!

Awesome time at Strip House Speakeasy. First the service was exceptional, friendly, personel even though they were quite busy. Second but truly first as well was the food. Steaks were perfect and you haven’t had anything quite as good as the key lime pie with marshmallow topping. Would come back just for that. It was a bit loud but a large party contributed to that so I don’t think that is always the case. Thanks for a great night!

Was Amazing! Started with the bacon appetizer which was heaven and the Bibb lettuce salad which was a perfect amount for hubby and I to each have a taste while leaving room for the 40oz aged tomahawk for 2. My drink of choice was amaretto sour on rocks with DISARONNO. Yum! (Hubby was driving, no drink for him). The steak was perfect, the whipped mash yum, lobster Mac n cheese- to die for. The Brussels tasted amaze slightly undercooked but the taste still outstanding. To top everything off, THE KEYLIME PIE and cappuccino OMG that’s all I can say!!! Was just so delicious.!!! The waiter was great with great recommendations. Was a bit loud so if you want quiet this prob isn’t your best choice. I LOVED everything about the vibe!!

Outstanding service! From reception to the end of the evening. Steak was cooked to perfection 🤌🏼 and if you are an oyster fan, you are in for a treat. Soo fresh and perfectly chilled. We had an amazing time celebrating a Birthday! Would give this spot 10 stars !

This is why I love Open Table. In NYC, looking for a good place close to our hotel, search on Open Table and found Strip House Speakeasy. We were a group of 5, so they sat us downstairs. Quiet, we could easily visit, and the food and service was great. Would definitely recommend and revisit!

Went for the first time Jan 2020 and enjoyed it very much. Today was my second time back, first time post covid. Porterhouse is delicious. Scallops special was to die for. Salad is great. I put in a birthday request and they kindly honored my request. 11/10 would recommend

Not sure what has happened to Strip but the last two times the steaks have been of questionable quality and service is subpar. My dry-aged strip did not taste dry aged and the texture felt like it was defrosted. The filet mignon ordered medium rare was medium. Sides were Ok with the charred broccoli being the best tasting, but charred it was not. Will not be returning with so many good steakhouses in the city.

Great service, nice employees, beautiful ambiance, dim lighting. I felt the food and sangria were average, a bit overpriced, but the desserts were good! I’m glad I went for restaurant week, unsure if I would go back again.

8oz strip had hard inedible fat prob 2oz. Restaurant week deal not too bad overall but that strip cut was the let down. Didn’t want to kick up a fuss and send back at that point. Great service. Really great bartender / server with handlebar mustache checked in good amount 👍

I wish I could remember our waiters name, but he was a true gentleman. Great service and excellent food! My friends were in from Denver and we booked a bit last min. Very accommodating with switching our time when we were running late. Will def return.

I have to be honest and saying I expected far better. I remember years back when the strip house used to be on this beautiful 4 to 5 star go to. However, I felt a deterioration of my experience last night. I just didn’t feel that a crabcake that was nearly $30 should not have been deep fried. The caliber of crabcake was honestly on par with what you would expect as bar food. I also felt that the speakeasy bar did not align with what you would expect as an upscale speakeasy. They are blasting Britney Spears. The dark chic down low atmosphere that you would expect with a speakeasy didn’t give us such a vibe. As far as sides, I felt that they were just OK. For a meal that was $449 at the bar of a speakeasy, I just don’t feel that it was well worth it. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Decor was great! Just enough tables so you don't get crowded in. Our steaks were cooked to perfection- side dishes were so good definitely recommend sharing them- Brussel Sprouts were my favorite! Our server took our order she didn't even write one word down/*only server for the entire resto Entire staff was outstanding as well. Overall great experience and highly recommend this restaurant!

Just was disappointed by the lack of professional service and the long delays between table visits. We had to wait and wait and wait to get our servers attention. Food was good but the service was a buzz kill.

The restaurant was busy but the wait for food was 45 minutes. Despite my partner requesting gluten free food, we were brought mac and cheese (with full gluten) to compensate.
