Food was ok, the patatos on the roast dinner was a little hard. The only bad thing was the bill they add on 20% vat and a £15 service charge which we wasnt expecting as the 3 course was £25 each this is lile another meal nearly 35 ontop of our bill was bad.

We came here after seeing this being advertised on TikTok and was very disappointed it looked nothing like advertised menu was different too Yorkshire pudding where big but the bottoms where full of oil the beef was very red almost raw the roast potatoes where burnt and tasted it the meal was presented nice but not practical ie:- half chicken served on chopping board couldn’t pour gravy over as it would drip everywhere, we had someone in our party with an allergy and made them aware of this but wasn’t filled with any confidence they knew anything about allergy could do with training , would not recommend and would not return we stayed for 50minutes had food and left very awkward setting really quite for an Easter Sunday too which says a lot .

The food was awful, £32 for a steak that was probably the worst ive had. Far too much pepper and very chewy. The chips were over cooked. Had breakfast the following morning and the poached eggs were raw. We were suprised to see the restaurant so quiet on a bank holiday but soon understood why.

Busy when we arrived as football match ! Surprisingly empty from 6.30 so lacking any atmosphere . Quite expensive. We were going to the theatre and I would suggest would be nice to have a 2 course pre theatre menu to encourage more people to boik

First time eating at this venue. Food was amazing big portions & all fresh. Perfect location to get over to our show in St.Georges hall. Seated as soon as we arrived and given a shove of seats in the restaurant. Would recommend and visit again.

Beautiful surroundings and decor. V clean and v polite staff. Menu a bit limited but quality of food excellent. Ambience perfect. My only criticism was the price of the drinks - v expensive. £9 glass of Prosecco and nearly £15 for one cocktail. Bottle of Prosecco nearly £40. However, I would go there again as a great place to to enjoy a drink with friends. Food reasonably priced.

Had a lovely meal with friends. I was kept updated with the booking, the reception was very clean, staff were welcoming. Restaurant was very light, tables were very nicely laid out. Drinks were of a great quality, waitress was knowledgeable about the products. Meals were very well presented and service was quick. Fabulous Scouse! Thank you to the staff, we had a fab time and will definitely be back.

Steak was cooked to perfection, however it was served on a cold plate and was therefore also cold. It had lots of connective tissue and is not of the quality expected associated with the price. Mushroom was also cold. The chips were perfect. The wife was dissatisfied with the size of the sea bass.

Disgusting food. Worst we have had in years and we eat out VERY often. Serving what they called gnocchi should be a criminal offence. It was like 5 soggy steamed buns on the plate with a flavourless, slime, of a filling. It was covered in a sauce that seemed straight from a supermarket jar. The small slice of chicken was edible. My wife’s fish was tiny and covered in batter that made it look so much bigger. The pot of peas looked like green wallpaper paste. We didn’t disturb it. The chips were lukewarm, at best. We chose to leave it there and not see how much of a mess they could make of a pudding, so we paid and left. The only good experience was the lovely and friendly young waitress.

Really good food, fantastic service and thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely return again. The fish & chips was amazing and the brownie was perfect. Loved it!

Great experience. Just wasn’t the biggest fan of where we were seated even though the restaurant was quite empty - we were sat right in the middle.

The staff , atmosphere, and food was excellent , however after we had left ,and bill being paid we discovered we had paid £17.50, for a service charge , plus our vat charge . At no time we’re we asked if we would like to pay a service charge , I really think this is a cheek, as we would probably have left a tip for the staff who had attended us. How do we know that this service charge will be given to the people we would have liked it to go. It would have been very nice to have been asked before assuming . Thanks ALAN FLEMING

Hello Mr Fleming, I do apologise about the optional 12.5% service charge on the bill, all of our menus explain that this will be added as a discretion to every bill and all prices on the menu are inclusive of the VAT. I can assure you that the service charge is split between team members and paid at the end of each month. Jessica our server and the other lady who brought the wine were exceptionally friendly and warm! The Malbec we chose was alright, didn’t love it… The bread and starter we had were mediocre and not much care in the presentation. We didn’t enjoy the steak as it was over cooked and pretty tasteless. There was no red wine or peppercorn sauce so went for the gravy which had no taste either! And was charged £3+ for it! The good thing at the end was a cake for my mum for free for her birthday and the manager took 10% off the bill. Thank you for that. It’s such a shame as the restaurant itself is lovely. However, I feel the kitchen needs to add a little love to the food.

Hugely disappointing. Nice room and atmosphere, but staff are bordering on rude and lacking any finesse / attention to detail. The food is okay, but massively overpriced for what it is. Simple dishes lack depth of flavour and are ultimately disappointing.

I went to this restaurant alone and the host was great, warm & welcoming. Everything from food, music, ambiance and most of all the service was fabulous.

The food was very average, comparable to pub food if not worse.I was in the bathroom most of the night which was not pleasant. Went for dinner at 4.15pm it's states on Instagram that dinner is served 4-9pm Monday to Thursday. This is not the case it begins at 5pm hence we waited a full hour for this to start. I emailed the manager Elli Powell regarding the restaurant food and still not had a response which is very poor service from a manager. This sums the entire meal up, a complete let down. Do not go if your after quality food.

eThis was a little find, it’s in a hotel just next to Liverpool Lime Street station. You don’t need to be a resident at the hotel to enjoy the restaurant. As a wheelchair user, my reviews always centre around accessibility. Hotel can be accessed via an automatic door and lift platform from street level. Just opposite Saint Georges Hall. The lift is a little bit tight, but it was perfectly acceptable. There was an accessible toilet in the foyer of the hotel. The frustrating thing about the toilet was it was kept locked to avoid it being misused. So I had to go and ask for a key which I find a little bit unnecessary. I can see why they did it though because of my second use of it too very attractive Scouse ladies wanted to go and use the toilet together. They may well have needed the facilities although I think my perception they just fancied a little bit of quiet clean Space. Onto the food. It was very well presented and very warm. It came very quickly which might have impacted the quality. Two of us had pies and the puff pastry was a little bit undercooked below the surface. I had the fish and chips and the batter was not very crispy. I can’t remember the Menu description, it may well have been tempura batter which isn’t always as crispy. The bill came to £125 for four people with four main courses and four drinks, two in which alcoholic. For a hotel, I guess this is about what you’d expect to pay. What I like about this place is that even though we’ve been to the game they didn’t turn us away and it seems like it might be a secret little venue for match covers like a bit more of a nice quiet after game meal.

Good meal , great to be so close to Empire but why no mention of the compulsory 17.75%service charge and the additional VAT hit because of that ?
