Reservation system is a mess. Delayed 45 minutes and finally we left. Seems like a tourist trap. Be warned.

Great ambiance and view but the food and service were average. I had the Brunch Special Burger for $9.99 and it was a great value for the money, but just your standard burger, nothing special. We also ordered the calamari and the truffle fries and they were good, not great.

I’ve been here in the past. It was expensive but still OK. Now it’s outrageously priced. For dining on a terrace, it was too much. Also, even though it’s a steakhouse, I would expect some vegetarian options, but there was very little. Service was not the best. I had to ask the waiter twice to refill my water. For what I paid, I wanted impeccable service! Great drinks though.

Usually, I don't write this but I was very sad with the seating hostesses. Due to a company event, I went to the restaurant two days before to confirm my seats. I also called on the day to make sure we had the seats just in case and both times I was told we had our seats at the requested place. The moment we got there, the hostess said, "Unfortunately VIP is sitting there you don't have your seats" and there was no good explanation for it. I asked for another seat at the corner of the rooftop to avoid the very loud place but their explanation was "VIP is sitting there so you can't have the seats". No satisfying alternatives were requested and with the disrespect, no clear explanation and having all my colleagues wait, obviously, I got mad and said "you don't call that reservation. I wouldn't have reserved this place if I didn't have the seats." Their answer was jaw-dropping and told me now that I was the one being disrespectful. How can that be? Overall, the manager came and took us to the seats that we asked for which was very helpful. Despite the rudeness, I told the hostess thank you anyway but she literally ignored me with a very rude expression and disrespectful manner. Is it me that needs to be treated like this? It was very sad, not professional and disrespectful. Other than that, the manager, the server and the food were great. I felt very tired and sad throughout. Hopefully, other people can get a confirmation by email or something to avoid this issue.

I should have taken heed to the previous reviews. Every review that stated the food was severely overpriced and not worth it was absolutely CORRECT. I was searching "rooftop brunches in nyc" and STK and a few others popped up. Furthermore, I should have known something was a bit off when I was able to ake a reso for 5 within 1 hour of our arrival. Most rooftop brunches are booked some days in advance on a Sunday. I was intrigued because I like STK restaurant so I figured the rooftop brunch wouldn't be too far from my liking. I was dead wrong. The menu was basic but again, HORRBILY OVERPRICED. Halibut fish and chips-$66, American bkfst with eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage-$44. The bacon was ridiculously THICK (2 fingers width) I have never in my life seen bacon cut like that. It was unappetizing and untouched by anyone at the table. The pancakes were frozen and packaged pancakes that they warmed up in the microwave. The pancakes were clearly pre-packaged. How do you sleep at night selling pre-packaged pancakes for $44?? I have had fresh from scratch, brown and fluffy pancakes from reputable brunch restaurants in Midtown so STK needs to do better. The blueberry cocktail was the only saving grace. It was refreshing, sweet, and on point for a warm summer day. The rooftop was giving more industrial scenery (expected in meatpacking district). Overall, I honestly would never patronize this establishment again. Being a server/bartender for an array of restaurants in the industry, this was such a disappointment. Pavel our server, did the best he could with what he had.
