STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

Had dinner with two other couples—one couple ordered chicken picatta and I ordered the halibut picatta—it was tasty enough but not much lemon picatta flavor (the other couple stated the chicken picatta was the same). My husband’s burger was tasty and the third couple enjoyed their meals. I was a bit disappointed that my order came out about ten minutes after the rest of the group—the staff was very quick to acknowledge the mistake but didn’t offer to comp a salad(which we ordered as an appetizer) or a dessert.

Lovely place, food was great. Drinks were expensive and extremely small. They use the really large ice cubes or long rectangular ice cubes, so the drinks are really short! We will eat again there but not order drinks.

Disappointed when seated in the back. Also, never received text a table was ready, so waited longer than we should have had to.

Was nice to be able to sit outside for lunch. There were tables with umbrellas. Had the chicken salad. It was delicious & the side of fresh fruit was good.

Oysters are the bomb! Great selection. Just off the boat yesterday. The two others in my party were very happy with their choices as well. Amazing old train station building. Very knowledgeable wait staff. Fast service.
