Steak & Whisky is a decidedly Californian take on the American Tavern featuring classic American dishes with a modern twist.
Join us for nightly dinner or weekend happy hour, a cozy night out with friends or simply a weeknight meal, Steak & Whisky brings exceptional ingredients and attention to detail to every dining experience.

Each cut of meat has been hand-selected from a single-source herd of cattle to give you the highest quality meat available. Smoked Pork Meatballs, S&W Dry Aged Burger, as well as a selection of quality steaks.

Enjoy a hand-crafted cocktail, 100 plus curated whiskey list, or one of our many by-the-glass wines, a selection from our chef-driven menu, and the cozy ambiance of our intimate dining room. Signature dishes include our Seared Scallops, Butter-Poached Whole Lobster, and our hand-selected steaks, including the Tomahawk, Filet Mignon, and Prime Porterhouse.

Celebrated my sons 19th birthday and he wanted steak. I had the scallops which were excellent and by the way there are other great dishes on the menu other than steak. Despite going on a Monday night, we were all pleasantly surprised how welcoming and friendly the staff were and the service, wait time, food all excellent. Lovely decor and ambience all worth the price of fine dining. Thanks for a wonderful experience. I would definitely go back again and highly recommend this restaurant in Hermosa Beach, California.

We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and wanted to stay local. We are so glad we decided to reserve a table at Steak and Whiskey. The food was amazing. We ended up sharing a ribeye and the short ribs. Both were incredible. The short rib was so tender, we could have eaten it with a spoon. For dessert we had the bread pudding and a whiskey flight. Every bite and sip was spectacular. Their customer service was friendly and very attentive. We both decided we don't need to wait for a special occasion to return. We will be back there very soon.

Everything was wonderful from the moment we got there. Everyone is so kind and lovely. The food was fantastic! Lamb Ossobuco was delicious! We came for our anniversary and it was the right move.

The servers were well informed of the menu and cocktails. Atmosphere was extremely friendly and inviting. My table was reserved with my name when I arrived. The menu has a wide variety of wonderful dishes for every palate. My porterhouse was grilled to perfection and I was impressed with the wide variety of whiskey. This is definitely the perfect location for a date night.

Second time there with the same friends and we all really enjoyed it. The food is excellent, good size portions . Connor is very friendly and attentive. Will continue to come back.

The food was amazing. Especially the Brussel sprouts, the French Onion soup, the Prime Ribeye, and the Scallops. The wait staff was very attentive, and courteous. By far, one of the best LA County eating experiences.

Love this place - maybe our new favorite place in Hermosa. Grant was amazing as a server. The food was incredible - which is saying something at the beach. The filet with chimichurri and mushroom/peas sauce looked curious on the menu, but it is one of the best steaks I've ever had. Wife loved the fish, everything else including the wine was great and REASONABLY PRICED. Many of the other places on the beach with lesser design, poorer service, worse food and much higher prices should take note. This is going to be a staple for us, so glad we finally found a great place within walking distance!
