At Steak 48, we serve the finest steaks and high-quality seafood in an intimate and vibrant setting. Our diverse menu will satisfy any personal craving, as we serve the best USDA prime steaks, succulent seafood, and shellfish along with inventive and classically inspired side dishes and appetizers. Also enjoy classic cocktails and an extensive award-winning wine list.

At Steak 48, we encourage all of our guests to get dressed up for a great experience. In order to maintain an enjoyable environment for all guests, athletic wear, excessively revealing clothing, exposed undergarments will not be permitted. We prefer no printed t-shirts, hats or visors and always appreciate collared shirts or sports coats. Please dress as your elegant selves. You are going to have a great time!

This is probably a one and done scenario for us. Excellent steak, spotty service and way too expensive. Also the lights are turned way down low, as is typical for a steak house but this seemed excessive. The main issue is price.

Been to a number of high end steakhouses (mostly in the Silicon Valley area). This is the best steakhouse we have ever been to! Highly recommend.

Steak 48 is so special. The food is outstanding but the service is even more of a standout. We had Becky last night and she was the best! I would not wait another moment to try this treasure out.

This restaurant has exceptional service from valet to table service. The food is delicious. Steaks are perfectly cooked. I don’t mind paying more for good service and food which is why I love this restaurant. I dine there often.

Our server Phillip was great. He was knowledgeable, funny and charismatic. The entire staff took great care of us. Our entire dining experience was like a symphony. Keep up the great work. Will definitely be returning soon.

Food was excellent. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. The size if the sides was good for a family of four. Staff were nice and friendly and offered excellent service. Definitely our new preferred steakhouse in San Diego.

The service is top notch, the food is ok, though not worth the price tag. They charge for every little addition like sauces and on the fish for instance. Also, we booked this meal for Mother’s Day brunch (usually only open for dinner), so we mistakenly thought the menu would reflect a brunch. Instead it was the same dinner menu as always and the same prices as dinner (at 11am!). A let down in that regard. Music is too loud, though excellent song choices! Might come back for dinner, but disappointed as a Mother’s Day event.

This restaurant is amazing!!!! My new favorite steak house. I have been here several times and this was the best so far!!!! We sat at a private table and the service was spectacular!!! Brian and Dillon were great!

The Best of Fine Dining! Great place to go when you want the very best of food, service and atmosphere. From the moment you walk through the door you will feel as you have arrived somewhere special. The staff is unbelievely knowledgeable and provide top notch service. The menu options are extensive and offer something for everyone. The food is well prepared and delicious. I am still raving about the adult beverages. The cocktails servings are generous.

My family and I absolutely loved the restaurant. This was my second time coming in but my families first time, they loved everything about it. The service, our waiter Alex, the ambiance and the food. I already have another reservation booked for this Saturday!!

New top tier steak restaurant. The restaurant is very large but nicely partitioned into multiple "rooms". Excellent food and wine.

Food and service were excellent. But, the overall experience was marred by the atmosphere. It was way too loud. The music volume was too high, and a large table of drunks exacerbated the noise.

Contrary to 2 of the reviews I read today that gave 1 star, they are wrong. I think they are competitors. Steak 48 just became our new favorite steak house. The decor was stunning. Every item ordered was fantastic. I have never eaten at a better steak house that here. The other 3 in our party echoed that sentiment. Our server, Peter, was outstanding, funny, and very attentive. This place is worth the half hour drive to get there. The first bite of my grass fed New York Strip was like having dessert first. So, it sounds as though the naysayers I read didn't feel everything was perfect or something. It IS expensive, but what steak house isn't. The valet parking lot had about 2 million dollars worth of cars in it, so we parked away, as to not bring down the value.

I have to say I was extremely impressed and pleased with our experience at stake 48. We went there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, which we made known to the staff prior to arriving. From the card at our table saying happy anniversary to the many staff members coming by and wishing us well, it was very touching. Even received phone call the next day asking about how our evening was. Our server was incredible making great recommendations for our meal. The food was excellent. My husband, who normally does not order steak ordered the Wagyu and could not believe how amazing it tasted. Everybody work together to make our evening extremely special and we would definitely go back again. We asked for a quieter table, knowing that we were celebrating something special and were seated and one of the back rooms where the noise level was less than it would have been around the bar. That said I think on a different evening, it would be kind of fun to be out in the room where all the action was. Would definitely recommend this place for a special night or special event. Or just if you want to go out and have a really nice time.

An absolute first-rate restaurant! Love it! In terms of fine, upscale dining, Steak 48 hits the mark. It is easy to question whether expensive restaurants are worth it....there is no questioning Steak 48! This is one of San Diego's best!

Jacob is the manager. He is truly exemplary, whilst our particular waiter (whose name I won’t reveal, sorry) was absymsal. But I tipped him 20% nonetheless since I wouldn’t feel right otherwise. Food and ambiance is outstanding. Go. And ask for Jacob if you seek a seasoned sommelier who can recommend bottles that don’t even appear on the menu…bravo!!

My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday, and it exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly, accommodating, and perfectly timed between courses. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the Australian wagyu, and sea scallop entrees, as well as the wild mushroom side. The lobster escargot appetizer was delightful as well. As for dessert, the triple chocolate bombe was unreal. The servers brought it out with a lit candle for my husband, which was a nice touch. We will absolutely be returning to Steak 48!

Steak 48 was a disappointment. We were seated immediately but it took two hours and forty-five minutes before we had finished our meal. Part of that time was taken by replacing my wife's medium-well done steak with the rare steak she had ordered, but most of the time we just spent waiting for the various courses to arrive. That rare steak was very good, my Chilean sea bass was fairly good, the wine was very good, but the key lime pie was too rich to finish. The caramel dessert was excellent. We did appreciate the 60's - 80's music selections, but that is a pretty noisy restaurant. To their credit, the wait staff and management immediately realized the steak was not rare and comped the price of the steak. The overall experience lacked almost everything I expected from a very pricey restaurant.

This was our second time to Steak 48. It's one of the best steak restaurants in San Diego county. The service is very professional, the food is amazing (the steaks are the best restaurant steaks we've had), and the ambiance is elegant. It's definitely a special occasion place.

It was my husband birthday and his and my daughter’s first time here. Marshall was our waiter tonight he was very informative on the wine selection and also the recommendation for dinner. Absolutely amazing Customer Service and-amazing experience. By far worth the 45 minute drive. Everyone was so friendly the minute we arrived and sat down. I absolutely recommend it for a special occasions or just date night with friends or love ones.

This was the best dining experience we have had in awhile! Our server Alex was amazing! Great recommendations and really made our experience here enjoyable. We got the yellowtail hamachi app. Delicious. We got a ribeye and filet mignon with truffle butter. The steaks were cooked to perfection very tasty and melted in your mouth! Would absolutely be back!

Impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant, even though it needs cordial hostesses. The steaks were good but I have would have expected more from such a fancy restaurant.
