FABULOUS!! Teacher appreciation dinner was the best.THANK YOU STATE FARE. Although the waitstaff was a little overwhelmed.. Tiger was very nice. My fellow teachers came from all over the city.. HISD, Aldine Isd, Spring Branch ISD..we made lots of friends. Everyone was happy!! It was Soooo niceee and much appreciated. I always have Shrimp Louis but ventured out and order the RED FISH!! My friend had Shrimp Louie. Fabulous meal. Thank you, State Fare for your generosity today!!

Very slow service. Although the food was good they brought mine last. I had chicken friend steak. The meat was high on the fatty . Waitress was not attentive to our water glasses. She did not come back and check on us after the food we had to wave her down or call her

Food, customer service, waiting time were all a great experience. The only thing I wish they would do is put “mini” on the fried green tomatoes. I ordered them anticipating an average size slice of a tomato, at least. But… when they arrived to table they were bite size(5). Very small I mean very small. I did suggest that they should definitely reword the listing to “‘mini”. Other than that the mini fried green tomatoes were delicious just wish they will list an accurate description of portion size.

Food is delicious. Service was a little slow at times but not bad, actually kept a nice pace to the meal but needed drink refills a couple times and were left waiting. I think the prices are a touch on the high side but that being said, the food is very good. Would absolutely recommend and would go back myself.

We made our reservation via OT however after waiting at the hostess stand for 7 minutes and there was no hostess! We asked nearby server who apologized and seated us. Our service and food was great although the initial reaction was annoying.

On a very dead Monday night, (talking maybe 5 tables filled at the entire establishment) with 2 waitstaff, I don't understand why it took 20 minutes to get 2 drinks to the table. Food was good, once arrived but everything was super slow to arrive for what appeared to be no reason. Also, while the host recognized that we were celebrating a birthday, waitstaff failed to even ask if we would like dessert. Ruined a birthday, we'll take our business elsewhere from now on.

After dining here 4 times and enjoying every time, I’m surprised the food was bad. The macaroni and cheese was undercooked. Sent it back. They added hot liquid and returned grainy cheese sauce. The hush puppies were also undercooked on the inside. Tried the shrimp scampi. The cauliflower rice had a bad smell. Hopefully they rectify the issues.

Always a great experience. Food was delish! I was looking for good vegetarian options and I was pleasantly satisfied with my options. Tiger our server was pleasant and very attentive and did a wonderful job.

I met a friend here for lunch at 11:30 on a Thursday. The restaurant was relatively empty but filled up as time went on. Our waiter was kind and attentive but I did have to ask for my iced tea to be refilled and ask for Splenda to be brought out. I ordered the Birria grilled cheese and it was excellent. It came with French fries which were also good, but the sandwich was so filling that I didn’t eat many fries. I’d definitely come back.

Very disappointed with the experience. Seated at a booth and dealt with a very rude hostess when we asked to be seated at a table. Took 50 minutes to get our ordered beverages. Then when we asked for a manager to address the issue, the manager was defensive instead of apologetic or fixing the issue. Manager came back and offered a discount , which we accepted, but when the bill came, no discount was presented. My group and I will not be back.

My seafood platter was not hot. Just luke warm at best. Crawfish were overcooked. Service was good. Food a great disappointment. And a child’s hamburger $12 way over priced.

We had an excellent experience. The food was fantastic, drinks awesome, service was outstanding. We started with the dill pickle dip, it was delicious. I had a salad with grilled shrimp xAnd the chicken tortilla soup- again, excellent. A few people had the different grilled cheese, other salads, fries, Brussels sprouts.. all great. The drinks and dessert were all so good- the expresso type martini with coconut was so unique and delicious, the frozen drink that was like a pina colada- amazing, the smoky cinnamon old fashioned-yum. We loved it all. A 10 out of 10

Good place for brunch on a Sunday. However, very crowded with limited parking nearby. Food and service were good although I didn’t like the tip being automatically included in the check.

The food and service were both great. It wasn’t very busy for 630 on a Friday, but this place is usually very busy and reservations are a good idea. Our table of 2 plit the dill pickle dip w/chips- HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We also split the chicken sandwich which was pretty good.

My husband and I went there on a Sunday night to celebrate his birthday. There were hardly any people there. Had to find someone at the bar to seat us. And then we waited and waited and waited. I flagged down a server and asked for water. After 15 minutes with no one coming to our table, we figured no one would notice and we left. This was the worst lack of service we have ever experienced! So if I could give "0" stars I would. It was inexcusable! WE won't be going back there!

We took our daughter and her friends here for her bday and they all loved it! Wait staff was super friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. Our only complaint is that there were a few things that weren’t on the menu that are on the menu at other State Fare locations. Overall though we loved it and will be back!

Made a reservation at 12:45 and didn’t get sat until 1:30. Ordered a drink and didn’t get it until after food arrived.

Our waiter Reginald was awesome. He provided wonderful service and had a positive energy throughout our experience.. was hoping to speak to the manager and make him aware of the awesome service he provided but he was busy with other customers.

The server was very good. Just an FYI Don’t sit at the high top on a cold evening the door draft is horrible it was cold. Luckily I went on not such a busy day.

The service was great. Could not have asked for a more personable waitress. My wife’s fish with jump crab was incredible. My chicken fried steak was dry and a bit tasteless. It was till a great night.

Our waiter was nice but it took a very long time to get food and drinks delivered. And the food was not as good as advertised. Cranberry mule was fantastic!

The service was incredible, and the food was very delicious. Each person ordered something different, and everybody enjoyed their food. Our group felt as though we were very well taken care of! The restaurant is very clean and has an inviting ambiance. Parking garage nearby is a plus. Highly recommended.

Great food; smaller # of choices than other restaurants but really good quality food; well prepared. Excellent service. Parking is challenging; lucked out and got a spot but getting out of the narrow parking area was again - challenging. I'd come again for the food and service.

This visit was a disappointment as we had guests who have never been to this restaurant. We had bragged about the food, service, and the experience. The food was excellent (as usual) but service was terrible. Our server (Sebastián) failed to check on our table, refill our water glasses, and when I requested our checks with dessert he failed to return with dessert so we paid our checks and left. It was embarrassing to have given the restaurant such a high rating to our guests and then to have such a terrible experience. We have been here many times and had a wonderful experience but I think we will give careful consideration before making a decision to visit in the future...if anything we will request a different server or speak with the manager to discuss our dissatisfaction. I should also mention the restaurant was not busy.

When we entered restaurant greeters met us with a smile and seated us in about 3 minutes. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice ambience. The waitress was very considerate an attentive.

We had reservations and still waited 15 minutes to be cpseatted, waited another 15 minutes for menus. Went to the bar and got our drinks and walked them back to the table. Seriously understaffed and/or untrained, The food was excellent but the service was just too terrible to give it another chance.

The food is terrible and the service was worse. Waited over 40 mins for water another 30 to her the check.

Seemed very chaotic last night on the service end. Our drinks came out one by one, our appetizer never came (waitress tried to say there was a hold up on the appetizer when the two tables on the sides of us got their appetizers and entrees before we even got all our drinks and appetizers) , was charged extra for a Cesar salad when all I asked for was dressing not the salad. (Waitress then explained it as if I asked for a Cesar salad, I decided not to argue since she clearly gave us horrible service the entire meal) No manager came to our table after we waited, not a single manager came to our table so we paid and left. Horrible Service and Horrible management team for not even coming to talk with an upset table.
