The historic building of the Star Lounge was a social gathering ground for almost one hundred years. Our Midtown Sacramento Lounge carries on the tradition of being a community incubator of creativity, an oasis of thought, and a great place to unwind. A place for all to come together and celebrate the arts, music, food, and a great cocktail. We use traditional local ingredients, authentically prepared, in a historic upscale inspired setting.

We had a great time on our first visit! Didn’t know this place existed! Our server Allie (not sure if I spelled her name correctly) was fantastic! Very attentive, friendly , and her recommendations were spot on! The place is gorgeous, easy parking, and the food was amazing especially the HH short rib tacos! We hope to return soon!

Enjoyed good wine, excellent food, and beautiful music with Clemon performing in the dining area last night. Star Lounge is delivering a great experience and I would recommend this place to all.

Pros-Amazing service, food was top notch, intimate setting. The bacon wrapped pork tenderloin over a bed of cauliflower polenta was amazing. Nice drink menu. The hibiscus mock-tail was smooth and flavorful. The carrot cake is highly recommended Great date spot Cons-NOISY even the waiter was annoyed how loud it could get at times. It’s pricey beware I would definitely go back

The service was poor. Our server was unresponsive. We had to get someone’s attention to follow up on our orders. The wait was too long for wine and food orders.

This is Eliot Park, and for the first time, Eliot brought his best friend who's staying in the HH Sac Midtown from Feb 2nd to Feb 4th. He is....Ben Abada. While Eliot had Tagliatelle pasta, Ben had Bavette Steak. And we got free appetizer of humus while kitchen was slammed; which nothing to worry. We all have been there. Thanks and a highly recommended bar/dining lounge; especially he would come back again. =]

The vibe is definitely energetic and loud. Our server was knowledgeable about menu items, and she was helpful with suggestions. It took awhile to get our bottle of champagne, but appetizers and main dish orders arrived in a timely manner. The food is outstanding! We ordered the seasonal veggies with hummus and ahi tuna appetizers. Both were a delight to the eye and palate. The steak with chimichurri sauce was tender and flavorful as was the Coq au Vin. The green beans were fresh, colorful and perfectly prepared. We finished with poached pears and gelato. Overall, a grand feast! My only complaint is the choice of music. Very loud and seemed geared more for a nightclub than dinner venue.

Probably the worst lounge in Sacramento went to check it out because it reminded me of a New york style lounge I ate at, reserved two seats but didn’t even get the chance to eat, waited over 40 minutes for just two simple drink that should’ve took 10 minutes max, our waiter only came to our table once in those 40 minutes bad service plus their seating sucks they had us sit down in a dark corner hidden behind another table don’t know why it has so much rating when I couldn’t even order my food, I didn’t get the chance to eat and left to a taco truck around the corner where the food was delicious!

This was an amazing meal! The 4 of us all had the Veal chop on the Dine Downtown menu. The soup starter was delicious with a velvety texture and the chocolate mousse dessert was equally delicious. The service was excellent and very friendly. Don’t hesitate to go before Dine Downtown is over!

This was our fifth visit to Star Lounge. The food was perfectly prepared. Veal chops can be a challenge to prepare and this entree was delicious. We have enjoyed each of our meals at Star Lounge and given them a five star rating. Service with Rosevelt met the highest standards.

The waiter was excellent. We had some comments on the wine pairing, so he sent the sommelier over to our table. He was very informative and helpful.

I brought my foodie group to enjoy the Dine Downtown menu. It did not disappoint. Such generous portions! My G&T cocktail was so delicious. Love the soup, veal entree, and the dessert capped off a perfect meal. I've been in for Happy Hour in the past and will definitely return to try out regular menu items.

We went for my wife's birthday. Arrived early, had cocktails at the bar. Sat us right on time. To our surprise the 3 course prix fix menu was sold out AT 7:30!! So, we ordered of the regular menu and wine list. When we got the wine, the bottle was corked. Our server, Matt took the bottle away and came back shortly and agreed with us. Instead of replacing it with the same wine, he UPGRADED US to a more expensive bottle at the price of the lower bottle.!! Told us they wanted us to have a good experience and that he felt bad because the menu was sold out and we got bad wine. We were very appreciative of the accomodation. Coq au Vin and Salmon were excellent, as was the spinach and beet salad. The truffle French fry appetizer is spectacular. The ambience is great in the vintage building with exposed brick inside. A little pricey, but overall a wonderful experience made even better by Matt's quick action to counter the bad start. Great special occasion venue.

What an evening we all had. The ambiance was great, food was outstanding, and the service was amazing. Our waiter was the best and made us laugh all night long. Thank you for an amazing dinner experience.

The beer selection is not huge but they make up for it by serving the the BEST Manhattans we've ever had. They have a few off-menu items, such as a hamburger, which was ordered. The waiter, to his credit, tried to direct us back to the items on menu and I wish we'd listened. The hamburgers weren't great, but the other items ordered where very good (Ora King Salmon, A5 Bavette Steak, green beans, Chocolate Pot de Creme). We'll definitely return!

Arrived at 5pm reservation and asked to add two more to our table. Which they quickly accommodated us. Ambience was lovely and private, decor was very thoughtfully decorated. Drinks and food were done really well. Overall great dining experience.

Such a cool and quaint little spot. Ambiance is nice. Hostesses and bartender un attentive. Bartender was actually rude. Arrived before reservation time. Advised table wasn't quite ready. Asked to wait in bar area. Waited at lounge table for bar service approximately 15-20 minutes. Once served, ordered a glass of champagne and non-alcoholic beverage. Champagne arrived barely chilled. Inquired if I could exchange for a colder glass of champagne. Bartender snickered an at the request and advised that was the best he had and it was cold enough(??? Really???) My party waited another 20 minutes or so to be sat at table for dinner. Apparently table had been ready shortly after we arrived. Hostess failed to convey this to each other or server. After asking person serving us beverages in lounge area and ETA to be sat at table, he advised table had been ready and he would seat us and would also be our food server. Server was either inexperienced or didn't care. Didn't try to suggest or upsell items on menu. Only when we placed order for appetizer and NY steak dinner did he say restaurant had a special and for 10.00 more dinner would come with jumbo shrimp and green beans. I inquired about the dessert menu at the same time we placed our dinner order. At the time dessert options were provided, i advised i would have oatmeal crumble or cobbler with vanilla bean gelato and my guest and I would share. Through duration of meal, server checked on 3times. The first time was in response in our request for a steak knife that was not provided with steak dinner when served. The second time is when my guest and I requested another beverage. The third time was to bring check. Server assumed card or cash had been put in bill/receipt folder and cane back to table to get, i advised i was not ready to pay and inquired about dessert. He said he forgot and kitchen closed 10 minutes ago. The food we ordered was pretty good but mgt needs to find new service

The food was great. Everything we ordered was delicious. Decently priced, nice presentation and good value. Our server was kind of dry with little personality but overall our experience was positive.

What a great way to celebrate an anniversary. The ambience was amazing and very relaxing. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. The food was wonderful and made to specifications. Will be coming back. The drinks were awesome as well.

We’ve been before and enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and had relatively good service. However, this time the service was inattentive and slow. Food is good but maybe it was a Sunday night with fewer guests and less staffing. We will go back and try again though.

Fabulous feel to this restaurant, great vibe. The food was delicious although the menu is small. The wait staff needs some polish though, at least our waiter did. I’ll give it another go for sure!👍

We were so impressed with the venue. It's a beautiful building and the service and ambiance was immaculate. The only problem we had was with the food. My date ordered the poke for an appetizer, and salmon as an entrée, and both were "fishy", especially the salmon. The taste was fine and I don't believe it was expired, but it was definitely past its prime.

A little loud because it’s a small area, very dim just a tad bit of extra lighting for the ones struggling to read the menus. More sweet wine options please! Very nice experience.
