We went to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary with another couple and it was our first time so I asked Tonya to help with recommendations and they were fabulous! We loved Royal crown fried rice and the peacock magarita!

Beautiful ambiance, the attention to detail was outstanding!! Our server Deserie was great, very professional and friendly. Will definitely be back. All the dishes we tried were delicious!!

The food was far too salty!!!! Entree’s were more like a starter. And I had stomach issues afterwards.

Restaurant Review Star Leaf in Pasadena Recently opened 2 months ago for soft opening (I really don’t know what that means). I saw it he reel in IG but also read the reviews from Open Table which attracted me to check it out with my “forever human” 😀. It’s marketed as an Asian fusion restaurant that has branches in Asia. Supposedly, this is the only one in Southern California. Rating: 3.5/5 They have not gotten it right yet. Details that are important to the success of the establishment. -Food: Excellent. The food is tasty, nicely presented, well prepared and certainly different. The downside is there are several items that they run out of - what ? There were about 5 items that we were interested in, that wasn’t available. -Service. Needs improvement. For a fine dining place - their timing was off. The utensils were incomplete and when I asked for a knife, it came about 10 minutes late??? The food was not synchronized delivery. The meals came in too long intervals and the rice was so delayed in delivery. What ( in an Asian Restaurant 🤔) The staff were not attentive 🤣 -Ambiance. Cozy and appropriate. This location used to be where Roy’s was. Another place that closed after the pandemic. -Price Point. Pricey overall for a fine dining category, because they failed in the service. - Will I come back. Yes, I’m willing to give them another shot because I found the food great and with a lot of variety.

The food is amazing here! Oh and Evan, our server, you are fantastic! Reservations were easily made online. You must try the Royal Fried Rice because it was the star of the show! If you can get Evan as your server, you will have a delightful evening. Presentation fit the ambiance and it is definitely a sharing place. Grab all your friends and try everything on the menu! We had a great time :)

Our first visit to Star leaf which just opened its first location in Pasadena. The food was good I was pleasantly surprised by the options we chose. It did not blow me away but I will definitely come back. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely the green tiles were my favorite. Service was good, the restaurant was cold where we sat the AC was blasting on us all night and the bday celebrations were endless which made the restaurant a bid noisy.

The food was decent, but nothing was amazing. You can definitely have similar dishes for much cheaper elsewhere locally. You’re paying a huge premium for the ambiance. The value just wasn’t there, even with the grand opening special that was offered. Our waitress was a bit intense. I won’t be returning.

The presentation of food was good; however, one of dish wasn’t the same as the description in the menu. The pork collar was very fattening and too spicy. The banana leaf chicken was very dry and bland.. The service was bad… right after food order ahas been placed. our server was no where to be seen until we paid our bill. The bar are was very messy. The price did not match the quality whatsoever..

I was here last week and had a wonderful experience so I decided to bring my wife and our friends here for their grand opening night but it turned out to be a mistake because the management was not up to par and the evening turned out to be less than professional! I called at 12:30 to confirm my reservation at 6 and requested a booth at the dinning room. When we arrived, I was told the dinning room is not available because the owner of the restaurant has reserved it for their VIP guests. Then they sit us near the bar. Things got worse from here. 1st, we can’s order from the menu. We must order the dinner for 4 tasting menu. Once again, why no one inform me when I called at 12:30pm? There were dishes we didn’t want to eat and may not want to spend more $ then plan? 7 courses of meal were rushed out . Waiter took away plates without replacing, no ice on the champagne bucket…2 out of 4 bowls was dirty with stains.. what was suppose to be a wonderful evening turned out to be s mess. I understand that is a new restaurant but it is no excuse for management to hold private party for their vip guests and treat patrons as second class. They should just keep the grand opening private so that the patrons would not be mistreated!! food was good but the management must improve!!
