    Excellent birthday dinner at Spruce! The cocktails- champagne and excellent whiskey sour- were delicious as was the food. Amazing trout, duck, and tenderloin. And good wine pairings. The only disappointment was the strawberry dessert (shortcake like). The shortcake was disappointing though the gelato was delicious. We were seated in the alcove which was wonderful. The main seating does not have as much warmth/intimacy. Please bring back some outside seating!

    Overall our experience was good. We were celebrating our anniversary, as well as a birthday, and both were acknowledged by most staff. Cards for each event were brought to the table. Sommelier was knowledgeable and helped us pick out a nice Barolo to pair with entrees. Appetizers were lovely, with fresh seasonal asparagus and peas. The scallop entree was served with sautéed leeks that were crunchy, which took away from the enjoyment of the dish. The scallops themselves were perfect. House Are sausage accompanied the duck breast, which was also excellent!

    Had an excellent dinner and they accommodated my son too. He is a vegetarian and they made a special dish for his entree. Service was amazing and it was a wonderful experience.

    I’ve been a big fan of Spruce restaurant for many years now, this last experience Wednesday evening left me surprised and disappointed. The quality of food had decreased notably while prices have increased. Our server was lovely, however there seemed to be a big issue with timing from the kitchen as well as having to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time for the table to be ready.

    Must have been due to mother's day, but overall experience was subpar vs prior visits; waiters were slow to attend to us, chicken dish came out raw in some parts, the bill came back incorrect and had to spend time course correcting; for price that's being paid, would expect 0 issues
