Our traditional looking pub offers an exciting world of craft beers, fruity cocktails, and spirits to liven any occasion. Paired with our oozing burgers, moreish bar snacks and tasty, loaded fries you can enjoy every moment well into the night with great company. Hidden in the middle of Brentwood our traditional pub is far from dilapidated. With a quirky, opulent interior and eccentric décor, we are the perfect place to gather for a midweek pint and share tacos perched at the bar or get the whole gang together to celebrate the weekend with signature cocktails and an indulgent feast in the courtyard.

Was the addition quiz night really necessary, the pub was really busy anyway?

We have been hosting Quiz night on a Thursday for several years, and its always a popular event at the Spread Eagle. We are sorry that you found the quiz unnecessary and hope that this will not disuade you from coming back.

Lovely roast dinner, staff were great and the pub plays good music. Only negative was that the table was a bit small for 4 people but we managed fine so not much of an issue. Overall we were very happy and will visit again.

Food is Ok.. not as good as it used to be. Disappointed at the lack of draft bitter. Service is good. We will return as I like the pub.

Unfortunately things have gone down hill. No service to speak of, people on phones behind bar when waiting to be served. No ales on at all. Food wasn’t hot enough and had about 6 chips each. We were the only table in there at the time so you’d think it would be easy to please us. Staff members kept going into the garden and leaving the door wide open so we were cold. Such a shame.

We had a really fun time, live music which set an excellent atmosphere. Food is excellent value for money, drinks a lot more expensive than other pubs however happy to pay more with the entertainment. Staff were friendly, I felt may have been slightly tired after a long day of working hard as we had a roast dinner quite late in the afternoon.

Nice pub easy to spend a few hours in there and lose track of time. Nice bar food too

Visited with family for lunch, midweek. Lovely interior, although toilets could do with a face lift and a full length mirror. Nice outdoor space. Staff were friendly. Music was an appropriate level. Food was quick and delicious. Large portion size which was great. I had the nachos and a 3 cheese pizza 🍕 Pizza was amazing. I definitely didn’t need dinner after my lovely lunch. No dessert menu offered or available. Rose wine was exactly to my tastes. Good value for money. Would go back. It was very quiet but it was early afternoon on a Tuesday, and it suited us.

Could not fault staff at all as they were lovely and nice enough looking pub. Two of a party of 6 had chicken burger which they said was yummy. However, 3 of us, including myself, had the Sunday roast which was inedible, chewy and clearly all from frozen and not home cooked. 40 minute wait and only one other table dinning. Would not return, unfortunately.
