Splendido at the Chateau offers wonderful Rocky Mountain dining featuring hearty yet refined American-European cuisine. In summer, enjoy a cocktail or dine outdoors on our flower filled deck and enjoy great views of Beaver Creek Mountain. As the sun sets and the mountain chill sets in, retreat indoors and get cozy next to our lovely, double-sided, wood burning fireplace. Splendido offers entertainment by Peter Vavra, Kathy Morrow and Micky Poage in the piano bar.

My husband and I came to this restaurant at a recommendation from a friend. I figured it would be very nice so I dressed appropriately. You can really dress up to come this restaurant!!! We were greeted and seated promptly on time we had a lovely table and we were offered drinks, and the waitress explained our menu selections in detail which was very helpful. We were served bread with two delicious spreads one was a buttery spread with honey and I believe the other was a butternut squash. We decided on the French onion soup appetizer and we shared it. It was exquisite. Our main course my husband had the pork chops and I had the Dover soul fish. The pork chops were very, very rich but very delicious. My fish was excellent. The pork chop dish was very unusual so I would recommend that those are the only things that we ate at the restaurant unfortunately, we didn’t have dessert. I did see you could order a soufflé. The price was expensive, but it was special occasion and we will go back. It won’t be a routine visit because of the price, but I would highly recommend it for a special occasion.

Nothing special. Have been wanting to try this for a long time and I was disappointed! Food was ok but nothing special. Atmosphere was stuffy and not lively. 😢

Food not creative, taste bland. No cocktail menu. Shared with server culinary experience lacked and she said ok. The sad part was that we took the servers recommendation as the top entree choices. So many better choices in the Valley. Had an incredible meal here a year ago and they've gone way down. Underwhelming and disappointed

I was very disappointed. We have been here before and the experience was amazing. Last nights service was bad. We were ignored for almost 20 minutes before we even got water. Never got our waiters name which is strange and he was obviously stretched thin with multiple tables. Our food order wasn’t taken until 40 minutes after we sat down and even that felt rushed by him trying to check a box. It was my birthday dinner and it don’t feel special at all. Waiter was nice when he did show up but overall, I won’t come back. It’s too bad. I would even stare at employees to try and get their attention. People are clueless.

We have been dining at Spendido for 25 years 2 of our friends order Dover Sole for $82, can cold. Sent back came back hot. But very tough. My wife ordered salmon, just was disappointed in flavor. You would think that a good customer such as us, would have.been offered something, no charge for fish or bottle of wine. Realize end of season but we felt sad that our experience wasn’t recognized by the Vallly best restaurant.

Terrific food, stellar service. Best meal we’ve had in Beaver Creek by far. Truly exceptional.

The location and property are wonderful. The service and staff were fantastic, as expected. The problem is the food. It doesn't live up to the price point. The steak was mediocre, and the appetizers didn't hit the mark. It feels like they are trying too hard to be "unique" but overcomplicate the dishes. For example, the steak was not high quality - it was cooked well, but the meat was full of sinew. The potatoes accompanying it were fine, but our waiter reminded me that the horse radish sauce was at the bottom of the bowl. Poor composition, which ultimately affected the dish.

Years ago I had the most amazing Dover Sole at Splendido. Each time back to Beaver Creek we have dinner at Splendido. Last time we had a less that 5 star experience but looked forward to trying it again this trip and looked forward to the Dover Sole. When I ordered it the waiter said that they were out. He said that he had never known that to happen. My second choice was a disappointment. The service of the waiter was great. Additionally the coat check person did not retrieve my husband’s hat with his coat. My husband called when we got back to our hotel. No one returned his call. We went back the next afternoon to see about it. A rather unacommadating woman who acted inconvenienced showed my husband the coat check room and he found his hat. We really want to like Spledido. It is in a beautiful setting and the service is generally excellent. Unfortunately we have been let down the last two times.
